The '70s were a consistently enjoyable decade for the Hulk's readership.  If his monthly never quite achieved the highs of the landmark Marvel titles of the decade, at least it avoided the steep declines of others.  And he made a successful transition to another, more popular medium as Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno brought him to life on CBS...Remember those round "Marvel's TV Sensation" badges on the covers of the time? This blog had a limited scope ("Hulk vs. the 1970s") and so it ends here...But the Hulk's best years still lay ahead of him.

The decade goes out with a BAAARRROOM as Tyrannus attempts to merge with the Living Flame of El Dorado, actually an immensely powerful weapon designed by the Deviant race from Jack Kirby's Eternals series.

The skyscraper headquarters of the Corporation falls.  Machine Man then hypnotizes the Hulk and levitates him harmlessly away from Central City.  So why didn't he do that back in #235?
