For everyone who ‘used to love reading’ but now hasn’t finished a book in years, you CAN get it back. Genuinely start bringing a book (preferably short and either fiction or a non fiction topic you already really enjoy) everywhere you go and when you have 5-20 mins waiting for the bus or at the doctors office or mechanic or whatever, get out your book and read it! You don’t have to finish it quickly or even read it often but it is so good for your brain and fun to get into the habit of reading more (and replacing being on your phone for those moments). Source: I read 0 books in 2023 and I’ve read 12 in the first 4 months of 2026

just found out i do not have an ao3 account and have never had an ao3 account, and the fanfic i posted in 2021 was in fact posted to fanfiction dot net instead. this is like a walk of shame

writing fanfic and struggling to like what im writing or comparing it to others has really been improved by the line of thinking "its not ai so at least i am creating something" and i have to keep reminding myself of that everytime i am hating what words I am writing or thinking it sounds out of character. at least it is out of character because of my own perception of these characters built by my life experiences and how i read people, rather than inaccuracies created by failed computer logic.

also, an ai would never think to make kanata yatonokami a trans man with a big chest when writing smut. so i am better
