Yes, it's me, watching Rogue One again. I want to share my thoughts. Again.
It is so sad, that K2 and Jyn had not much time together. Her giving the blaster to him, before he dies... Him saying (with curiousity and interest): "Your behavior, Jyn Erso, is continually unexpected.”
It would be so nice to see how their connection evolves. But I know why it can't be. They made decisions. It is war. It just can't be.
Watching the Narkina 5-Episodes again. Just LOVE them. The whole show is perfect and these episodes are the very best I've seen for a long time. And that is not only because of Melshi.
It is time for Rogue One and a drink. And crying. So much crying. Jyn rescues the little girl and all I am thinking is: Later she will die anyway. It is heartbreaking. And Cassian speaking about it is his first time in prison... In my opinion he is really struggling with bad memories of Narkina 5 and he just can't deal with it now. And he would never tell anybody of it. Except Jyn, in another life. (Yes, I know Andor was shooted after Rogue One pls don't bother me with this information.)
I think that Melshi never wanted to be a soldier. Perhaps he was an artist or craftsman in his former life. The way his appearance changes between Andor and Rogue One kept me thinking about it. He was made a soldier for the Rebellion by the Empire, by Narkina 5. It was the only way to deal with his past. He lost everything.
I created a character named Thalias in Baldurs Gate 3. She looks as I imagine Thalias (with the possibilties of character-design in the game). So... I am still totally Chiss-obsessed.
Tumblr ruined me. Just watched ahsoka-scenes with Thrawn again. Was only thinking: Where is Eli Vanto? Thrawn surely missed him deeply. And I haven't read the Eli Vanto-books, yet... I am reading the ascendancy-books at the moment. Oh my.
Thinking about this moment because he knows he’s about to die, he knows these are his last seconds of life. But instead of using his last moments to take in the world around him, he closes his eyes and he gives up his senses to Jyn. He’s using his last moments to take in his new world and new home: Jyn. Getting all the time he can with her, allowing her to be the only thing that matters and allowing her to be all that he’s aware of as his time runs out so that he can die at home and at peace

At the moment I am perhaps a little bit (only a little bit) obsessed with Samakro x Thalias. Just a little bit. I love the great fan fics.... and the art. But I am totally okay. Btw I discovered a really great playlist on spotify named Samakro. I am okay. Sort of.
Thinking about Thrawn in Ahsoka again. Can we agree, that the character is not characterized as we know him from the canon-books but that we love Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn?

THE MANDALORIAN — Coruscant Chapter 19: The Convert
So, Ahsoka. I just saw the last episode of season 1. (I will ignore the ridiculous name of the chapter.) The season was not perfect, but I liked it. I love Sabine, Hera, Ezra, Chopper. I like Ahsoka. Yes it is a show about her character, but there are many other characters I like more than her. But I am okay with that.
The Witches of Dathomir are very interesting with their new way of using the force. Morgan was cool but I have a feeling, Thrawn didn't like her.... :-D
So, the most important character at the end: Thrawn. It was not the Thrawn we know from the books. He was not perfectly written and yes, it could have been done better. BUT we've seen the perfect actor. He. Was. Thrawn. His voice, his body language... perfect. I could watch the scenes with him over and over again. So.... I like the show. And I hope that we see a more "fitting" Thrawn in the future.
In this broken world which breaks more every day (climate change, war, more and more right-wing people....), I catch me doing the same as me with 15: Escaping in the galaxy of Star Wars. One would say I am crazy doing this with the age of 40. But I don't care. It helps.
