BIOGRAPHY
Marcela Giovana Luiza Tavares Cordeiero was blessed with several names as was the Brasilian custom. She went by many nicknames, be it Mara, Gia, Luiza, Mari-G or whatever combination of her three first names her mother decided to call her by that day. As an only child, growing up in a house of academics, certainly influenced Marcela's goals for the future. Her life was easier than some of her peers, something she didn't shy away from acknowledging either. Her mother was a biologist and her father a mathematics professor and while they weren't wealthy, they were certainly upper middle class, or as some would say 'comfortable'. While her dream career had changed many times as a child, she always came back to wanting to be a nurse. Nurses were both overlooked and undervalued, but that didn't deter her from her goals. Marcela spent hours upon hours studying to achieve good grades and her thirst for knowledge and desire to excel in her classes didn't change much as she grew up. School was something she enjoyed, something she was good at. The satisfaction that learning something new brought her was hard to replicate. Not the most extraverted person, she struggled to make friends as a child despite her friendly and cheerful nature. Marcela always saw the best in people, believing that everyone had the inherent potential to do good. While she didn't have many friends due to the hours she spent in the university's library cramming for exams, the ones she did have she held near and dear to her heart. Popular wasn't a word she would ever have identified herself with, but she had begun to make a more valiant effort in approaching people as the years went on, believing that everyone could use more kindness in their life. One good deed could change the course of someone's whole day, so why shouldn't she try to make someone happy, be it with a smile or a kind gesture. Things had gone well after she graduated top of her class, job offers coming in left and right from most of the position she'd applied for. Marcela didn't believe it was luck as she had worked hard for this all her life, but she did consider herself very fortunate as she'd been approached for a job interview that eventually led to her being the prime ministers private nurse. While it wasn't her dream job from an excitement point of view, she still thought it an interesting position (especially with the pay she was offered) and she promptly accepted the job.
Due to her trusting nature, Marcela had the tendency to fall in love quickly, head over heels for someone when they showed her a little bit of kindness and affection. She started imagining their lives together after one date, already picturing their wedding by her second glass of wine. A love like the ones her parents shared was something she desired more than anything else and she'd try everything in her might to achieve that. Like Katherine Hepburn had said: "love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, only with what you're expecting to give, which is everything."
