i sent this to the other artfight blog, but i think it's important for the people here to see too, since the discussion is relevant.
it is genuinely unhinged how "think of the children", a phrase famously associated with censorship, surveillance, and moral panic, is such a common sentiment on artfight. it's moral panic over porn and nothing less. none of these people actually care about kids.
"what if a child finds your fetish accounts" most websites don't have anything more sexual than a kiss visible to logged-out users or minors
"what if a child sees your suggestive/nsfw art" if they didn't lie about their age, they shouldn't be seeing it at all
"what if a child sees unfiltered-" if it's unfiltered, it is against site TOS and i can guarantee you that you can report it and get their ass handed to them. it is far easier to run into random unfiltered porn than you think it is. do you have any idea how commonly it just shows up in search engines for perfectly innocent searches. i've been bombarded with porn for just searching "tiffany" before.
"what if a child sees" is shorthand for "what if i see it and it makes me uncomfortable". i am not your kid's babysitter. the internet is not a daycare. stop using children as a scapegoat for your own discomfort, you are being way more dehumanizing towards kids than a random porn artist could ever be.
i don't want your damn kid near my art, and it's because of modern online sentiments like this that i have to preemptively check every single profile i look at to see if it's potentially underage, no matter how safe for work the art i am making for the kid even is. this makes me feel way more like a creep than just not even interacting with the kid outside of drawing something for them. and the emphasis on sharing your age online is a privacy nightmare! do not ever expose your age to people online if you are a minor, you will only attract predators!
the vast majority of nsfw artists do not want kids seeing their art either. if you don't want your kid to stumble upon nsfw art on the internet, learn to use parental controls and block websites that host it.
children are not "victims to be made" or "innocent beings that need to be sheltered from the evil terrible fetish art", they are people who need supervision, education, and good parenting so they can protect themselves if they run into something that is unsafe for them and cannot have a parent help them - and if a parent can help them, so they can feel safe asking them what's going on and telling them that they're uncomfortable.
if you find it on someone's artfight page, you can click off of it and block the artist. continuing to look at their porn when you don't want to - or shouldn't, even - is self harm, and more dangerous to you than it existing in the first place. that one anon who checks artists' furaffinity pages for if they have feral art was self harming.
if you KNOW that furaffinity or toyhouse can potentially hold porn that will upset you, and you click on a furaffinity or toyhouse link expecting to find porn that will upset you, you cannot expect to hold the artist responsible for a link YOU clicked. you control the buttons you press, and you control the websites you visit. artfight social links are not physically compelling you to click on them. you are doing that to yourself.
it is your, the reader's, responsibility, and yours alone, to curate your own online experience. the block button exists for a reason. use it, and stop villainizing porn artists for the crime of existing in a public space.
