Introducing the Marauders Selfcest Fest!

What is this fest, you may ask? Well, this fest is a celebration of self-love in its purest form: self-cest! Taking two versions and putting them face-to-face for the ultimate realization of the self. (And while this is not required to be a sexual experience, far from it in fact, fics of a sexual nature are very much encouraged.)

You can find our rules and frequently asked questions in the menu at the top of our blog, or through the handy hyperlinks above, but our ask box is open for any additional questions that you may have.

This fest will be taking place from November 10th through November 16th, and the AO3 collection will remain open for one month to allow for any late submissions.

“Sirius,” he whispers, eyes and lungs burning, feeling the irresistible pull that wants him to step forward.  “Remus, Remus, Remus,” the veil hisses, pulling him forward as his arms shake from the effort of trying to resist, the scent of motor oil and cigarette smoke washing over him. “Remus, Remus, Remus.” He takes a deep breath as there’s a shout from nearby, sparks skittering across his skin, and lets himself fall forward. The mist passes over him with no sensation, it’s not cold or wet like he was expecting, Remus’ stomach flipping as he falls, filled with anticipation of the landing.  All at once everything turns black.

A story of grief, self-discovery, and self-love.

A banner droops overhead, the tape peeling, reading in cheerful Comic Sans: WELCOME, BALD LUPINS! Someone added a smiley face. Someone else aggressively crossed it out. At the centre of the circle sits a very serene, very shiny-scalped Dumbledore. His beard remains majestic, but above it his head gleams like the world’s wisest egg. He opens a clipboard, smiles with therapeutic gravitas, and says: “Welcome, all Remuses, to Bald Variants Anonymous. As always, we begin with introductions. Remember our rules: we speak one at a time, we listen without judgement, and we do not hex the facilitator.” Twelve Remuses shift in their chairs. Dumbledore gestures to the Remus on his left. “Why don’t you begin?” The bald Remus clears his throat. “Hi, I’m Remus, and I’m bald.” The circle responds in a weary but supportive chorus: “Hi, Remus.” Next Remus, identical except with a cardigan knitted by someone who loves him too much or not enough: “Hi, I’m Remus… and I’m also bald.” “Hi, Remus.” Third Remus, wearing sunglasses indoors for no particular reason: “Hello.
