Thank you so much for reading this comic~ It’s taken the better part of two months to finally finish this piece and I love how it turned out! (Tumblr is annoying with post structure so I unfortunately had to splice it, but please feel free to DM me if you’d like the full thing)
It’s Venti’s story that has stolen my heart throughout Genshin, and I loved exploring his connection to the past and the statue in front of the Church. A small tad bit but I find it interesting that the achievement for sitting on the statue’s hands to be “Beloved of the Anemo Archon”, and not “Beloved by the Anemo Archon” - I like to imagine that it’s symbolic to the fact that Venti used to sit in the palms of his dear bard, and it is that bard whom is his beloved, hence, sitting in the palms of the statue creates a parallel.
I would like to thank Yumisall on Instagram for introducing me to the poem featured in this comic, Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep, with a disputed authorship so I will refrain from crediting a poet.
This had been an incredibly fun piece for me to work on, I appreciate all those who have been anticipating the final product~
