this is what plays when youāre dying and your life is flashing before your eyes
*puts this on my End Of The World playlist*
Ok @peachcrushedvelvet is 100% accurate but here are several other situations I feel this beautiful creation could apply to
1. End of the world type of experience as noted above by @nero-neptune i.e. meteors falling and people running, things exploding and desperately trying to survive
2. Desperately running through your house avoiding attackers (guns, projectiles, of some type)
3. Youāre in a library and you accidentally knock something over which knocks over all of the shaves domino style and youāre running down the hallway with them falling in the background.Ā
Everybody please contribute
4. You finally experience love at first sight, but theyāre in the middle of a bank heist and youāre getting caught in the cross fire
5. Youāre getting arrested in roller skates at the laundromat
6. Intergalactic space travel in the form of a gay cruise
you are falling off a very tall biulding
I get a lot of entertainment thinking about how containers are used in video games sometimes.
why am i skeptical of any other car i see driving around at 3am . like i know why IM out ā¦.why YOU drivin round this late š

Jolene (33 R.P.M) - click for .mp3
Unsure where this came from, if not the palsied hands of the good Lord himself.
Simple premise: Dolly Partonās āJoleneā slipped from 45 to 33 rpm. Nothing more; no studio trickery, no trip hop drum breaks. The guitar lopes back in and around itself. The bass becomes elastic, hot rubber. The violin stabs become sustained cello lines. The backing choirās split harmony rattles around, slinking ghostly into the corner. Ā And most importantly, Partonās once-frantic vocal is transformed from bubblegum country scrawl into something approximating field holler reverence.Ā
An already perfect song made transcendental..
Well, this changes everything.
we all went through something when they played hallelujah in shrek
name us and the contract will be sealed
$1.69
Thatās the cost of my vegan lunch
But apparently thatās too expensive for people addicted to cheese & meat
[looks you in the eyes, pats your knee sympathetically] i donāt care
who is she
I actually hate being sappy like Iāll say āI missed you todayā then immediately drag them to diffuse the situation
āWhere were you today? I missed u. Thought ya lil ugly ass went and joined the soul circusā
most of the time, it is okay. most of the time im grateful for the internet and social media and cell phones and and and.Ā
but sometimes, you see a little girl doing her makeup for twelve thousand instagram followers. sheās nine. sometimes you see a man breaking up with his girlfriend for youtube likes. sometimes you are standing in a room and are in the background of fifty snapchat stories but in nobodyās actual lives.Ā
itās mostly okay. but so many of us grew up in a time where they basically ignored the internet while teaching us cursive in school. digital literacy wasĀ ādonāt look at wikipediaā. none of us knew what the next generation was being set up to. we taught ourselves our own rules. many of us, it didnāt come soon.
itās mostly okay. but the other day, i asked my freshman students: if you could, would you go back in time and take the internet away from yourself in middle school? if so, when do you think is the right time to be exposed to social media?
over and over: yes. yes. yes. iād go back and never look up those skinny tips. iād never spend so many weekends in the dark in communities that encouraged me to self-harm. iād never lose my brother to radicals. iād never, iād never, iād never again.
itās mostly okay. iām posting this on social media. but sometimes, you know. i wonder what exactly weāre doing.
