my favourite crashtos dynamic is still trinity being yearnatron 3000 and being teasing and joking and going hahahahhaha ur soooo weird crash. meanwhile victoria is just like ??? uhm okay?? lol?? and then trinity will a crashout because victoria wore her hair in two braids or something and she's dying to compliment it but all that comes out is 'who did your hair today, wednesday adams?' and victoria ignores her and smiles a little. like you have to understand trinity santos is the yearner in the situation but is the biggest loser ever. she can not say anything normal ever. i could snort that shit

I just wanna say that if you think the age regression scene is so bad then you shouldn’t ship anyone in Yellowjackets cause they’re all bad…like, Trav re-traumatized Nat, Nat killed Trav’s little brother, Shauna killed Jackie and assaulted Lottie, Misty violated Nat when she watched her on cam and constantly disrespected her boundaries, LL basically pushed Lottie into religious psychosis. AND you can’t romanticize the cannibalism anymore either, sorry! Like the YJ fandom of all the fandoms in the world to be worried about morality… 😬 they hunted and ate their friends man. I think Nat and Lottie’s slightly twisted homoerotic friendship is the least of anyone’s concerns

I have mentioned this before, but I decided to do a deep dive on Lottie's two Doomcoming crowns and ended up falling down an antler queen rabbit hole. I just really feel like no one talks about this enough.

she had no way of knowing what would happen at Doomcoming, so why make two crowns?

one dainty and like a woodland fairy creature...

... and the other (more famous) one that makes her look ten feet tall.

which I finally noticed— after watching Doomcoming for the 15th time— looks a lot like the one Nat later acquires, in a slightly repurposed Nat kind of way. (pretty sure that's the same animal skull at least)

all this got me wondering (during a flash of hyperfixation mania) if the crown Lottie wears at Doomcoming was just the audience seeing through the girls' shroom-induced POVs.

but it seemed like I remembered a shot of Lottie making the second crown way before they took the shrooms, and I was right (you can see the animal skull clearly in the second photo).

in other words, this diva really did make two crowns. but for what purpose, who knows. did she sense that 'something was coming' before she even said the words?

whether Shauna repurposed the same crown or not is hard to tell, thanks to what we refer to as her "sock", but— as an interesting sidenote— it is definitely Shauna's crown that adult Lottie sees in place of her therapist in S2.

it's also similar to what young Lottie sees in the cave except— that particular vision of the antler queen has a lot more points (and is just creepier in general).

and I could not end this post without the most adorable antler queen of all (in our heads, at least): baby Lottie.

woke up thinking (again) about how I still do not understand this line.

like, yes, I understand that it got some laughs.

and, yes, I understand that it fits in with the rest of Shauna's S3 arc.

but I don't think there's any evidence (yet-- unless things change in S4) that Lottie herself was ever "afraid" of Shauna.

I think she was afraid of what Shauna was capable of doing to other people, which is partially why she let her beat her up in S2 (I also think Lottie had other reasons for allowing that to happen, but I'll leave that particular analysis to someone else).

I also think she was afraid of what Shauna might do to Nat after the mercy killing of Ben, which is why she quickly decided Shauna should be their new leader.

but to say "we're ALL afraid of your mom," like that ever included Lottie herself, still makes zero sense to me.

overall, the more I rewatch S3, the less I hate it. I've even come to find meaning in the way Lottie died, even though it really pissed me off the first time.

but there are still some things that really stick in my craw about that season, and this line just keeps rising higher and higher on that list the more times I watch it.

if Lottie herself was ever "afraid" of Shauna, then this fucking show needs to prove it in the final season, or I am going to be rolling my eyes at this scene for the rest of my life.

I’ll never get the hate against lottienat. If any other ship in this damn fandom did what lottienat did yall would say its “basically canon” i mean lottie was on nat’s plane, Lottie kissed Nat’s hands while anointing her leader, they have matching hallucinations (nat with the moose lottie with the deer), the dancing scene, Nat kissing Lottie’s cheek as adults, the actress for Lisa saying they were her moms, the “we lost Natalie, I lost my home” line, bathtub scene, Natalie instantly knowing how and why Lottie needed comfort when she was up at night in season 1, Nat being “it’s favorite” scenes before lottie admitted there wasn’t a difference between It and her, Nat expressing her first belief in the wilderness the same day Lottie expressed her first doubts in it, i mean COME ON
