Currently working on a baby cowgirl costume and enjoying a spiced coffee bean wax melt, some English breakfast tea, and a slice of carrot cake made by the Culinary Arts students. I love that I can still support them with my Tuesday curbside pickups even when I’m working remotely. Yup. We were home from date night before 9:00 🤣 Does that make us old? Have my Friday night routine done! Hair has been pampered and plopped - ready for curly hair Saturday! Pulled the yarn out to crochet a bit. Been working on a bulk order of soap bags (almost halfway done) and a lavender and turquoise sea turtle plush (shell and plastron done). TGIF! Closing out the first week of the summer semester with my favorite Friday evening activities! Hair washing day! Curls are plopped up into a cotton t-shirt until morning. The kids have gone to bed. Hubby is gaming a bit. So I get my uninterrupted yarning time (unless you count Zoey 🐈 bathing or snoring in the corner 😂). Yes there are still shark socks on my order list but today I broke out color! Working on a lemonade color-themed baby blanket. Made it halfway through the first week of the summer semester. So far so good *knock on wood*. I missed this morning’s workout because I gave in and didn’t get out of bed. We had a very large storm roll in very very early this morning and it wasn’t the kids waking me up wanting comfort. No it was the cat who had to burrow her way under the covers at my feet. TGIF! The semester is officially over! Gradebooks are updated and I just need to submit final grades by Monday morning. Spent tonight visiting the opening of @laisamacias new artist space and doing my typical Friday night routine. Hair is washed, conditioned, and plopped in a T-shirt. It’s Thursday night and I’m nodding off while still making shark socks (yes I do fall asleep crocheting and sometimes still keep on crocheting in those short periods of time). But guess what??? Semester is done! Well all the assignments are closed anyway 😂 Final gradebook updating in the morning and submitting grades by Monday morning.....then a week to prep and summer semester starts. No rest here! So I’ll just keep enjoying my evenings of yarning and get back on track with my morning workouts for the time being.
