no, it’s not so bad. i’m lucky, i know. i just…
jmichxels:
jillian couldn’t help let out a laugh at the girl’s situation, not only at the fact that the girl believed that she cared about her situation but the fact she was even in that situation. it was actually moments like this that she was glad that her mom decided to leave her along time ago. “you keep complaining like that about your mom sweetie, then i doubt any man would wanna marry let alone have your children.”
“You make it sound like I’m complaining about my mother to you all the time.” She said, confused. “But you’re right, no one wants a nagging mom. But is there anyone here who can say their mother never nagged? I love my mom but she’s just hard to handle sometimes. Which is why I’m getting her flowers, so she may forgive me for not doing anything about my ticking biological clock.” Not missing a beat she adds, “Besides if my mom is a deal-breaker for the guy then I’d rather not marry him or have children with him.”
romeorhodes:
chuckling, completely amused with the topic, romeo shrugged his shoulders, “like you said they’re getting older, that’s all they’ll be asking about. at least they’re asking for good reason, my father asks to get me out of his hair.”
“That’s... well, you win.” Giving a small smile, she added, “Wait -- why exactly? Does he not want you around? Or something?” Raising a brow, she hardly thought it was the case. Right? “Or is it that you live with your dad and he needs his peace and quiet? I mean, my parents wouldn’t like the thought of their only child, not living with them especially when there’s a perfectly good room that I stayed in until I was sixteen.”
kelleyxoharrison:
“It must be a mum thing.” Kelley shook her head. “I went to go visit mine a couple weeks ago and she asked me for grandkids as soon as I walked into the door.” She sighed. “I hope she lays off on you a bit though.” She told the women.
“We should start a club. Where we, strong independent women who don’t need a man, come together and save each other whenever our mothers mention anything remotely like they want us to get married and have kids. We would save each other butts all the time.” Chuckling to herself, she tilted her head at the blonde, “I hope our mothers lay off our backs for a bit. Like a breather day or two.”
e-isfor-eleanor:
“It wasn’t as awkward, but if it makes you feel any better, my mama asks me nearly once a day when I’ll get married and have kids.” Eleanor smiled. “they’re not going to stop askin’ until it happens.”
“Oh god.” Marlene groaned, covering her face with her hands. “Find me a boyfriend, quick El.” She told her friend. “Someone who my mother definitely doesn’t approve of so she’ll let me rather stay single than taken.”
"Okay, so Mrs. Beaumont likes to say that she’s read about it online and knows better than us, but I’m gonna give you a tip here: she does not. That woman would believe anything on Facebook as long as the title says something like: Doctors won’t share this homemade miracle!” Chuckling, Marlene shook her head. “What else do you want me to tell you?” ( @daniel-sawyer )
ella-montgomery:
Ella shook her head, as she laughed again. “No, honestly. I was coming home late from work, and went to the bakery to get some last minute stuff.” Ella said with a shrug as she looked at Marlene. “I mentioned it as a passing joke, and he offered to do it. He is pretty amazing, to be honest.”
“That’s nice, though. I wonder if I could hire someone to be my boyfriend just to get my mom off my back.” Marlene pretended to muse, chuckling afterwards. “So, no feelings with the boy in question?” She asked, wiggling her eyebrows. “Or is it just all platonic? That’s no fun.”
ella-montgomery:
Ella smiled as she looked over at Marlene. “I think your mom would be happy that you have come home.” Ella said as she shifted and crossed her legs. “My mother bugs me like every six months, for children and for me to get married.” Ella said with a shake of her head. “It drive’s me insane.”
“It’s honestly giving me a headache.” She groaned once more, rubbing her temple. “Like, I have not heard her say, ‘Welcome home, Marlene. I miss you so much.’ She opened the door and was like, ‘I don’t see you coming home with a man or a ring or a baby.” Marlene nodded, “I don’t think I can handle her asking every six months. Just the passive aggressiveness is enough to kill me.”
“You think my mother would be happy that I came home to be with them. Instead, I get like asked if I’m marrying and having kid soon, not in that order. I know it’s because they’re not getting any younger, but c’mon...” She groaned, “I hope the start of your day isn’t as awkward as mine?”
