You know how Dazai infiltrated the Port Mafia with this masterful disguise that absolutely would never fool anyone but still did:

Makes me wonder how long he could go pretending to be undercover while walking around the Port Mafia until someone figured it out. Since it's been a few years since he defected from the organization and we don't ever truly know the turnover rate for lower-ranking agents, it's possible a lot don't know who Dazai is or at least what he looks like (obviously except for the executives and others who were around during Dazai's time in there).

Because I can imagine him bumping into Hirotsu, and he has to do a double-take to make sure it was Dazai he was actually seeing and that he wasn't imagining it, but also that Dazai just has the audacity to go walking around like that while he was wanted for being a traitor. Hirotsu doesn't process it until Dazai's already long gone, then he bumps into Chuuya, and Chuuya's wondering what the spooked looks is on Hirotsu's face and they have the most normal conversation ever:

Hirotsu: I...Think I just walked by Dazai-kun.

Chuuya: Excuse me? You what?

Then the reports come in about some unknown bandaged dude wandering around who looks totally out-of-place not wearing a black suit like the rest of the Port Mafia, but Dazai's already left the building.

At one point Kunikida implies that the Port Mafia actually raided the ADA pretty frequently (before the truce), and yet they still had no idea where Dazai was until he walked right up to them. Which means that either Dazai was never at work on any of the days they got raided, or that the members doing the raids had no idea who he was.

While I really wouldn't put it past him to skip work that often (or figure out ahead of time there would be a raid that day and avoid the office), my favorite theory is that he's like Perry the Platypus and no one from the mafia recognizes him without the eye bandages

And then one day when Dazai goes to instinctively cover an eye, he covers the wrong one and the grunt just stares.

I've put way too much thought into wondering where Chuuya keeps his knife on him

Does he actually have a secret compartment in his coat? It's impressive that his knife's never fallen out whenever he slings his coat over his shoulders, but I bet Chuuya is sometimes extra with his ability and uses it to keep his hat from falling off, as well as his coat.

But also the fact that Dazai's swiped his knife from him multiple times without him immediately knowing? How do you not notice Dazai rummaging around in your coat that close! (And knowing Dazai, I bet he was even super obvious about it by bumping into Chuuya on purpose with a fake oops my bad)

It's also so silly that Chuuya's never actually bothered by Dazai swiping his knife from him. Sure, he makes a little bit of a stink when he finds it missing and in Dazai's hands, but he's basically like here we go again, Dazai stole my knife again

Someone stop Dazai, he's a menace.
