This cracks me up. He is so embarrassed still about the music thing. The homophobia is THEIR problem.

that mental illness feel where you’re tired as shit but you wanna stay awake as long as possible for some ungodly reason
Everyone does this…
Sometimes…. normal habits overlap with symptoms of mental illnesses which is why some posts about ADHD turn into Relatable Stuff but the frequency and intensity they’re experienced at is a part of whatever mental illness you have. OP could have depression or be experiencing a manic episode. no mental illness comes to you without other “friends” and symptoms to experience.
Believe me, not everyone does this. Neurotypical tired and mentally ill tired are two different things. And the extreme intensity of these feelings isn’t something neurotypicals experience.
It sounds relatable, sure, but you don’t experience emotions and feelings in the same way we do, or urges the same way we do, etc. So it’s not the same thing. Not really.
People have really got to stop invalidating neurodivergent people’s experiences with “Everyone experiences that.”. Yes, often times the symptom is experienced to a lesser extent by neurotypicals. I mean, there’s a lot of OCD symptoms that neurotypical people experience, just to a much lesser extent. They experience it to an extent that is considered normal human behavior. What makes it OCD in someone like me is, like tropicalfucko said, the severity and frequency.
^^^ Important.
