ateez reaction to you having a nightmare
he would wake up as soon as he heard your stressed whines. he would quickly wrap his arms around you and hold your head to his chest; placing soft kisses to the crown of your head and whispering reassuring words. his arms would stay around you like this until your breathing finally slowed and you fell back to sleep.
would probably be as panicked as you when he first heard you scream and shoot up off of your pillow. he would quickly sit up with you, lie his hands on your shaking ones, and ask you whats wrong in the most hushed tone. if all you could get out where sobs he would pull you into his chest and rub slow circles onto your back until you finally calmed down.
as soon as you woke up, he would turn all the lights on in your room and rush into your bathroom to retrieve a cool towel to place on your overheating forehead. he would then lay back next to you and rub your cheek with the back of his fingers while quietly singing until you fell back asleep. he would then turn all the lights back off, remove the towel from your head and pull you close.
remains calm the whole time. reassures you over and over that everything will be okay now that hes there by your side. he would pull you in close to his chest, place lingering kisses to your forehead and rub up and down your back slowly. hed make sure not to fall asleep until he was positive you were well asleep.
once he heard your crying, he immediately woke up and pulled you into his arms. he didnt even need to know the reason why you were crying, all he cared was that you could finally be safe in his arms. he wouldnt let go of you until you both woke up the next morning and he made sure you were 100% okay after all that happened during the night.
he felt you squirming next you him in bed and instantly felt panicked. as soon as you started screaming hed turn and try to shake you awake. as tears started to brim your eyes he pulled you directly into his chest, hand against the back of your head. hed hold you like that until the shaking and sobs stopped. hed then cupped your face with his hands and placed loud smooches all over bringing a smile to your face instantly. hed do everything after that to cheer you up and have you laugh again.
hed hold you so tight, both arms wrapped around your back and head nuzzled tightly into the crook of your neck. hed whisper that everything is going to be okay in your ear until your sobs stopped. hed want to sit there with you and talk it out with you before you went back to sleep and could potentially continue the dream.
i feel like he would instantly know what to do. hed take all the blankets off of your sweaty form and tie your hair back for you. hed sit there rubbing your back until you finally calmed down. hed then pull you into his chest and back down against the bed, singing softly to you until you fell back asleep.
