Panagia Soumela - Saint Luke is said to have written and carried this icon on his travels and to Thebes, whence it was miraculously transported to a cave on Mt. Mela, Pontos, Turkey, where St. Barnabas and St. Sophronios found it in 386. Monastery burned 1929; icon found and was transported to Greece, 1931; now in Panagia Soumela Monastery, Veria.
