You were made of too many galaxies to ever be small.

to all the mentally ill teens out there: your life isn't over yet - i know that you might feel like you're wasting away the "best years" of your life but hey guess what! you're still young, there's so many good things waiting for you - don't let the romanticised portrayal of your teenage years pushed by the media make you think that this is all there is to life, because there's so much more, things will get better
random study tips for the start of the school year
(or if you’re in the middle, or haven’t started — just whenever)
utilize the library! whether it be after school or before or even during the weekends, a quiet space away from your normal desk is a good way to keep things fresh. (also, it really helps with keeping yourself creative)
along with getting ready in the morning, do something that’ll calm you down. always remember to slow down! for me, it’s listening to jazz in the car. (laufey, anthony lazarro, etc. are all good! even lofi in the morning is nice. just find something.)
make a list of your wrong answers for each class. seriously. by this, i mean when you get homework, quizzes, and tests back, don’t just passively look at the right answers. make the effort to write the concept down, write down any definitions you weren’t sure of, and—most importantly—write down why you got it wrong. (if you missed something because you were careless you don’t have to add it.) it’s not a diss to yourself. think of it as a way to keep everything you need to work on in one place. it even can work as a review sheet of your most missed topics.
i know it’s been beat over your head, but use the SQ3R method for reading your textbook. there’s a reason why research has been put behind it.
okay, listen. don’t listen to music. i know it’s boring at first, but it’ll get you more focused—trust me. (also don’t use this tip if it just doesn’t work for you.)
have a solid, non-negotiable stop time. don’t go past it. mine is 21:00, and that’s when i stop studying and begin to wind down. health > school every. single. day.
There’s so much power in believing that everything will work out.
so pretty ❤︎

God says: When you feel alone, remember I’m closer than your next breath. — God.
a love that is devotional. a love that only has eyes for you. a love that is consistent. a love that is always sure about you. a love that never stops pursuing you.
