when I went for my adhd assessment one of the questions was something along the lines of, do you struggle with waiting periods? and I was like, no. I’m an expert at waiting actually, I am so good at it. I carry 1-2 books, my Switch, a crossword puzzle and/or sudoku book, and an assortment of small tactile toys like a spinning top, a Rubik’s cube, a small puzzle slider, etc. at all times in my big bag. I am so good at waiting. No struggles there.

Nobody's saying you can't (no one can or should control your reading and purchasing habits, or at least no one on this here website, my sympathies if someone irl is in fact controlling your reading and purchasing) but I gotta ask, what makes you so desperate to read those books. Is it critique? Is it a required work for a course? Like. Do what you want, but it's forever a bit of a 'wut' moment when people go 'oh I'll just pirate the books then'

You should be starting a recipe book. I don't give a shit if you're only 20-years-old. The modern web is rotting away bit by bit before our very eyes. You have no idea when that indie mom blog is going down or when Pinterest will remove that recipe. Copy it down in a notebook, physically or digitally. Save it somewhere only you can remove it. Trust me, looking for a recipe only to find out it's been wiped off the internet is so fucking sad. I've learned my lesson one too many times.
