Nightingale’s Treatment
hey i love what you wrote about the gorgon sisters! I love the cliffhanger too! Can i ask on what headcanons or ideas do you have on Yandere Medusa, Arachne, and Shaula Gorgon to sibling!reader when they all used to live together or something like that? I'm not sure if you are doing requests but if you aren't that's fine. I just wanna know your thoughts if thats ok.
Living with the your Gorgon Sisters (1)
Medusa Gorgon the feared Snake
Shaula Gorgon the conniving Scorpion
Arachne Gorgon the infamous Spider
And the forgotten one (Y/n) Gorgon: the salamander
You paled in comparison to your sisters and their evergrowing reputation
Taking on the DWMA and attempting to birth a Kishin to plunge the world into madness
Such feats could only be done by the Gorgon sisters right
And you the forgotten sibling left to stir in the mock terrarium you’ve been given
Since you were young you’ve found that your siblings often fought for a type of ownership of you
Constantly fighting to keep you in their designated “tanks”
Sealed from the outside world
From the exclusive witch world
They unanimously decided they’d keep you from ever-evolving or even fighting
All they wanted you to do was swim in an oversized tank
Just waiting to be slinked back to when they need reviving or wish to play with the helpless baby
It was only until recently that they weren’t aggressively fighting over you
Now a routine had been established
A routine that meant varying levels of freedom:
Arachne Gorgon Soul Eater

Summary
One of the main antagonists in the Soul Eater series, Arachne is a powerful and important witch who’s acts have paved way for the Soul Eater’s world history to be the way it is.
Having been born somewhere around eight hundred years ago, Arachne grew to be a witch who had ties with both Eibon and Lord Death (the exact extent of their relationship is unknown). Specializing in the creation of magical artifacts that can perform amazing feats called Demon Tools, she set her sights on becoming the “Mother of All Things”, in which she sought to put herself on top.
Spying on both Eibon and Lord Death while they contemplated on how to deal with powerful Witches who exploited their magic on the general human populace, she found their “Demon Weapon” experiment deemed inhumane by the both the shinigami and sorcerer. Seeing it as an opportunity for her to exploit, she stole the hidden blueprints and performed the experiment herself! Although Eibon was the true architect of the Demon Weapons, modeled by Excalbiur, she took credit and was given the title “Mother of Demon Weapons” in history.
She was branded a traitor and heretic by the Witch Order due to the creation of a Demon Weapon requiring the sacrifice of her own kind. She was known as the darkest blemish in Witch Order history. Her crimes, however, didn’t end there. She also stole pages of Eibon’s book and even “BREW”, a immensely powerful Demon Tool. She resorted to hiding it in a facility set to detonate in order to deter even Death from finding it.
Her actions caused her to be hunted by both Death and the Witch Order with a malice. Arachne sought her sister, Medusa, for assistance to fight against Death. However, she was betrayed by Medusa and instead fought Death on her lonesome! She was grievously injured, having to split her body and soul into spiders, a desperate effort in which was capable of killing her. However, she survived doing so and lived as spiders for 800 years, alluding both her pursuers in the end and establishing a organization with the help of her steward, Mosquito.
In the series, she later resurfaces with her own large organization, Arachnophobia, in which their power rivaled that of DWMA. Throughout this time, she begins experimenting on Madness and plots to use Asura to achieve her goal of replace DWMA and her rival, Death, as rulers of the world order.
Skills
Arachne is, perhaps, one of the most powerful witch we’ve seen displayed within the context of the series (in an offensive manner). Death remarked her himself to be a powerful enemy.
Some of Arachne’s skills include being a master manipulator, having more then once taken advantaged of Death and Eibon, two Great Old Ones and some of the most powerful beings in the world of Soul Eater. She prides herself on this ability. She is also extremely competent in espionage, her magic and skill allowing her to spy on the aforementioned individuals as well as the DWMA and entire world. In physical combat, she’s only witnessed to use her fan and possess enough strength to block an attack from Crona, who’s strength is actually enhanced from Rangarok and the Black Blood , with ease. She has hinted, however, she does possess physical power though this extent remains unknown.
According to Medusa, her magic forte doesn’t revolve around offensive spells, but rather she attacks from the inside. Only dubbed “Magic Attack”, these hallucinations and illusions can allow Arachne to manipulate her victims. She often uses them to make her appear as some sort of savior figure to follow.
Her other magics are spider themed, in which she can split her body into spiders or create spider magic lifeforms (familiars) that act out her will and allow her to spy on others (being an extention of her body). She also can create magic thread in which, upon contact, can completely paralyze a person’s body save their mouth for days even against those with the Anti-Demon Wavelength She later develops a powerful magic that is casted in a spiderweb formation that allows her to draw people into her own variant of Madness she later develops.
Truly what separates Arachne from most other witches and make her extremely powerful is her madness wavelength, in which paved way for her own variant of madness. Arachne’s madness gives those the sensation of her victims’ mind being torn apart by spiders and drives them into deeper insanity. Ordinarily, her madness wavelength can be felt from an extreme distance from Czech Republic to the United States by Franken Stein. An unsual case for the series, as only the Great Old Ones have displayed any kind of madness wavelength capable of doing so. When her madness abilities are used in conjuction with her Spiderweb magic, it makes it even more formidable and easier to spread to numerous individuals at a time. An additional madness ability, dubbed a “Madness Attack”, is capable of utilizing madness to attack the mind of another. Such a power was formidable enough to down the likes of Medusa in seconds (she even later attempted to copy this ability to one of her experiments but was terribly weak compared to Arachne’s).
However, both her Madness-related abilities and magic attack magic comes with a fatal weakness: most of these abilities are unable to affect those with Anti-Demon Wavelengths like Maka. Strong willpower can resist her Madness and those who are pragmatic and stubborn like Harvar D. Eclair do not feel the sensation of her madness. Furtermore, Great Old Ones like Lord Death are unaffected by her Madness, most likely due to the counteracting nature of his Madness or perhaps his willpower.
Fun Facts
Members of Arachnophobia look up to Arachne as their motherly figure, hence why the organization’s tight bond help found it to be so massive.
Arachne is the eldest of the Gorgon Sisters, being other then both Medusa and Shaula.
The Nakatsukasa Clan, the same clan Tsubaki is from, are direct descendants of the first Demon Weapons Arachne herself had crafted. This might explain their “multi-form ability” in which appears in a single Nakatsukasa member every generation.
Note: This spotlight focuses on the manga but I decided to use an anime picture because it conveys Arachne far better then any manga panel I could find.
Some sketches
Because I kept hearing Bad Romance in my head.
The third Gorgon sister, Shaula Gorgon.
Gee, Ohkubo sure doesn’t have any subtlety when it comes to her. On one page there is the zodiac symbol of SCORPIO and in the next panel there is a SCORPION and finally there’s Shaula with A LOT OF SCORPION LIKE SHAPES AND SYMBOLS ON HER. Gee, I wonder what animal Shaula’s associated with.
I do like her thick braid though. But her hair color (more like pattern)… it feels like Ohkubo finally got Photoshop and he’s just like oooOOOH THIS LOOKS COOL and is clicking all the buttons. But still I like her hair lace pattern. It reminds me of Mononoke.
This is the most satisfying thing of the day, feeling wise. I mean I did something for school, cleaned my apartment, sorted papers… And yet this is the only thing I’m the most satisfied with from all I did for some reason uwu Shaula is so underrated urgh And I feel as though NOT won’t flesh her potential out in the very least
