Back in the '90s, I had the pleasure of hosting various UK TV music society slots for #MTVUK , Channel 4, and others—long before the www internet. Now and then, someone digs up old footage and sends me a copy… on VHS 🙈😅. Transferring it into a usable digital file is quite the challenge! Since I moved between countries, some boxes probably got lost, ended up at the bottom of a pile, or maybe I threw them out by mistake… or 🤷🏻‍♂️. One filming that was particularly close to home was for #Pushca at the legendary Ministry of Sound London—the most iconic party series of the mid-‚90s, created by my dear friends Ric & Debbie. They later became the creative masterminds behind the clothing brands No Added Sugar & The Middle Daughter. This copy is my only remaining reminder of those fabulous themed parties. The clip comes from a then-new show that aired at Cannes Film Festival and Channel 4 UK—including a legendary interview with the one and only #PhilipSalon . Unfortunately, I don’t have a copy of that part with Philip… did I mention… it was the mid-'90s? 😱 Time flies!

After a break, I've poured my heart and soul into something special: an album that's like an empowering playlist. Among new tracks, I’ve revisited classics, reimagining them all. Every track on this album is my own production.

Massive thanks to the incredible talents who've joined me on this adventure. Ziv @zivshalit from Israel, with stunning vocals on "Not Giving In." Nikita @kirschgartenboy, adding his voice on "Music In You." And the incredible (‘Supernature’) #AnyaKaye @anyakayeofficial. We share a history spanning 25 years – she's an absolute gem, always a joy! Special thanks to the lovely Nestroy choir who joined in on ‘The Art is Done’ and other tracks in a rushed session. Thanks to Sarah and her string ensemble for ‘True That’, ‘Marian’, ‘The Art is Done,’ and additional strings on other tracks.

The artwork captures me transformed into a robot; a photograph altered into a half-animated creature, symbolizing the dual complexities beneath our sunny exteriors ('Disco Beach Beat Machine'). This album explores the contrast between the moon ('Insomnia') and the sun ('Live Life'), the water ('Marian') and air ('Disco Beach'). It features gritty vocals ('Till & Jill'), dance beats, and a choir that resonates with us ('The Art is Done'). Lyrically, it reflects the realities of our double standards, society's demands that hide the struggles beneath. With one message: stay on your path, keep on, don’t give up, despite the noise.

It's a gentle reminder that within each of us there’s a wellspring of positivity. By letting that positivity shine, we attract goodness. This album mirrors the challenges faced by all of us in tumultuous times marked by global economic instability, the past pandemic, and conflicts between nations. It's an empowering, self-affirming #uplifting soundtrack, encouraging you to embrace your emotions and unleash your inner shine and spirit.

Good night iconic Helmut Berger. From Vogue model to award winning actor. No one portrait Ludwig II better than Helmut Berger under the direction of his life partner, director/filmmaker Luchino Visconti. When life imitated art Helmut never got over the untimely death of his mentor and partner Visconti. He was denied attending Luchino’s funeral by Visconti’s bigoted family. (Believe me things like that happen to this very day). Then his close friend Romy Schneider died (with only 43 years of age). It totally broke Helmut and he probably never recovered from that pain which led to a life of extremes and numbing his feelings. Helmut Berger was photographed by #AndyWarhol , #DavidBalley , #HelmutNewton , played alongside #ElizabethTaylor #HenryFonda #MichaelCaine and many more. When I was 16 I was very much inspired by Helmut Berger’s rather dark and slightly Gothic look in Ludwig II , I dyed my hair black and started wearing very Edwardian inspired clothes (which I designed with my friend Claudia Witter, ex wife of NME writer Simon Witter) as this reflected the late portrayal of Ludwig II by Helmut Berger under the vision of Luchino Visconti to me.

Photography and hours of graphic design on top for my single „The Art is Done“ (song written & composed by me, link in bio). It’s not an AI image, even thou I absolutely love AI, which is another new way for expressing modern image art through technology. I don’t understand how many are so opposed to it. You cut your hair, buy new clothes , get your face in shape etc in order to alter yourself. So why not extend it and express yourself through pictures and picture art. I find this interesting. But that is my personal choice. Everyone is entitled to go for their own preferences that enrich their life. The Art is Done reflects all that in my lyrics. It’s about going your own path, doing things that feel right for yourself. Things you personally prefer and choose and nourish your soul. His work with pop icon Madonna , Smashing Pumpkins , his campaign for Sony, his feature in Vogue Italia and his own music hit Dangerous Cat.
