As part of the Portfolio segment of this project, We were to design some sort of web based platform which will help show out work to future possible employees. After months of working on it im happy to share my now launched website that shows the work I have created inside and out of university.
Potrfolio pagesĀ
These are some examples of how I have decided to styalise my Portfolio pages, Im hoping that they convey enough imformation both visually and typographicaly, Ive left enough space on the second pages if more infomation is needed.
Although we have been told to create A3 portfolio pages which these are, I personally when it will come around to printing my portfolio pages i will be making them as A4.

Now that I have come to the end of this Unit, and especially the end of university, It's strange to think this will probably be the end of this blog as well. Its been a ride this project which I feel like my friends on my course will also share with me. From start to finish I had a lot of problems figuring out what I wanted to do for this very open project.
In the end, I opted to stick to what I knew and enjoyed which was something based around space and the planets that surround us in our solar system. What I went to experiment with was sound and the sounds that the planets make in the solar system, When it came to figuring out what sort of outcome I should make for this subject I went around a lot of different variations such as typography, semiotics and then eventually landing on creating a motion graphic.
If I could go back I would have spent a lot less time trying to force something new upon myself which In my view wasted a lot of precious time which was definitely felt in the last month when it came the making my final motion graphic, Although I'm really happy with how It came out, I wish I was able to spend a lot more time on it perfecting it further If I didn't play around with a lot of different ideas at the start of this unit.
When it comes to the motion graphic itself, as I said I would of wish to have spent more time on the renders, creating different types of animation movements which wasn't possible in the time I had left when I was able to start rendering and editing my final outcome. This is something that I feel like I can definitely work on in the future and is something that will really intrigue me to grow upon.
Now that this project has drawn to a close, I can't help but reflect back on the time ive had on Visual Communications and all that I have learnt, What I have created for this final project Is something I used to think was impossible when I was younger even in my first year. And I can safely say that I have surprised myself as this is just the start of this skill set which I hope to grow further as I grow. Ive really enjoyed my time on this course and for it to end how it has sadly due to Covis-19 All I can say Is that I wish the best for all of my friends and peers that I have shared time with on this course and that I hope they end up having a happy career and future. I will always have both incredibly stressful but funny memories of my time at Arts University Bournemouth
FMP Presentation display boards
As part of the hand in, we are to create some presentation board that explains the project and the development in a very simplistic and easy to understand way. With me presentation board I wanted to to stay simple so that the imagery would speak louder, and keep the text short and too the point.
Ā My Final motion graphic
This is the link to my final motion graohic which I will be handing in for this unit and as the final piece of work I create for this course. Sadly I was not able to share it at its highest quality due the that would be 15GB, I wanted to find a way to upload it somehwere in 1080 but again the file was too large for standard upload sites which is why I will only be able to show it at 720p.Ā
For the viewer, I would suggest playing the video while sitting back or on a TV where you will not see the Gmit colour lines which are evident due to the quality of the video, I woulsd always aswel recommend listening with headphones as this pics up on smaller details within the sound edit of the overall video.

I decided to make a small trailer for my motion graphic, This was to help further depict this becoming an experince which would be shown at schools or galleries as an art piece.

The Final titleĀ
Now that I have been able to create and finish my motion graphic, This is the title I ended up creating for the graphic itself. The name I wanted to stay simple and unique so that It would become easily readable and also would help explain the motion graphic to the audience.
The audience:
When it comes to the audience, after some debate, I decided to have to appeal to all ages and genders, they way i wrote and constructed the script with very somple with very little complicated words so that It will appeal to children as well as adults. I feel like in doing this will prove beneficial as it is meant to educate.
Continuous developmentĀ
Throughout the project, With the renders, I tried to continuously develop and perfect my renders bit by bit as I learnt new processes, Im really happy how my project developed throughout the project and am looking forward to experimenting further in the future.
The editingĀ
After tons of editing and adjustment, this is what the raw edit file ended up looked at, It took a long process to get it how I wanted and Im happy with how it eneded up looking like ocnsidering the current state with the world right now.
Final scriptĀ
After loads of adjustments, I can finally submit my final script which will be used for my voice over for the motion graphic, The vioice over will be read by my friend Alicia Fernandes which is on the AUB acting course.Ā
Im really happy with how this reads and have even been able to get a film student whos specialises with scripts to also read through it for me. After all of this we were able to start recording the voice which went really well.
Finally
Finally I feel like these renders and the audio effects are starting to come together very nicely which I can say im happy with, out of all of these the last two are the closest to what I feel llike i will use with some slight adjustments, By using lens blurs it allowed to to shaow and distrot the audio as it got close to the camera and the viwer watching it.

Now that I have created the audio effect for each planet, I decided to use the earth to test the eway the audio will look and simulate around the planet, Althogh these tests looked interetsing there was still little tweaks that I felt like it will only look sucessful if the audio and the planet complimented eachother in a nice balance rather then one more overpowering than the other.
Expanding effectsĀ
Although I have played around with a specific orb effect that will wrap around the planets, I also considered another factor where i would have the sound waves pursate away from the planet to simulate the sounds flying of into space. although the style looked interesting, It was too intrusive and took away the visual identity of each planet far too much making it appear too strong.

Further animation tests
Now that I have seen what these styles could potentially look like, I really like how the movements can reflect the frequency and pitch of the audio files themselves which could prove beneficial when explianing the process in the motion graphic.
