Darcy smiled. “That’s true. SHIELD is kind of whole different world. Although, I suppose it’s the same world, you’re just seeing more of it.”

Carol nodded, "There's a lot of space up there..." As she said it she knew how much of an understatement that really was.

"You want to try what with the planes?"

"It’s honestly dumb, don’t worry about it."

"Already worried, so you should tell me anyway...But i get it why tell a professor." Carol paused handed the girl a tissue from her gym bag, "so you don't keep using your hand."

"Well, them and the majority of the population with powers. Even though it’s really due to genes or whatever, it looks like magic."

"Ah the mutant population...Yeah I heard about that. Still don't think it's magic," Carol laughed

"What? No. It’s dumb don’t worry about it."

"Yeah okay...If it's dumb or not, I'd like to help."

She raised an eyebrow. “Nice aliens? That’s cute.” 

"Kree?" Janet shook her head, disappointed. "No. At least, I don’t think so. Pilai. That’s what they kept shouting at least." She twisted her lips. "I think finding anyone else who knows them is a dead end. Shield didn’t have any files on anything remotely similar. I’ve been trying to find another portal."

Carol nodded unsure how to respond the woman's comment

Shrugging Carol didn't think the name sounded familiar but then again her access since the accident had been limited. She bet someone knew a little something about whatever Janet was talking about, just wasn't her. "I would say I could help but...I really know nothing of that. A portal?"

She shrugged. “I’m not really sure. Some of the agents called them gods, but they said something about a space portal, so…”

Janet looked up. She had been worried that this was the wrong decision. She’d been here for weeks, but hadn’t gotten any further.  ”Really? Wha-” Noticing the blondes guarded expression she stopped, “I don’t mean to intrude. I just-I’ve been looking for the aliens I saw.”

"I think I met one...accidentally, doesn't really seem like something I'd call ailen but you have a point."

"No you're fine, just created a lot of bad stuff...The ones I had the unpleasent encountered  with were known as Kree, if that means anything to you?" Carol didn't want to do this but she felt bad, the girl was practically her the first time Ms Marvel had taken over. but Carol was glad she'd since gotten some control over the split. "Others weren't too bad.."

"What? Oh right, yeah. Don’t worry about it."

"Uh-huh, okay....Too late for that. What's wrong? Did you hurt yourself?

"What part of the definition? Murderous?" Janet smiled grimly, "They told there were nice aliens here. But…they also said they didn’t have camera’s in the dorm rooms.”

She smiled, “Tell me about it. Luckily, money, tears, and being five foot nothing got rid of any suspicion. You sound like you speak from experience.”

"There are aliens here on campus?" Carol didn't even want to think about what Shield was doing with them, though she knew a few could be worth the risk.

"Worked with NASA, I've encountered a lot of weird shit...Aliens included." She wasn't about to blab about her experience that particularly ruined her life. She hopped she didn't injure the girl or worse sending her to the grave.

Janet wrapped her hands, silent for a moment. “Yeah, an alien. At least that’s the best word for it. It came through a dimensional rift and killed my dad. Tried to kill me and Hank.” 

She stepped onto the map, “It was kind of hard to explain to the police.”

"Well that's the best definition if I've ever heard one." She replied briefly thinking on her own encountered. She'd been luckier than the woman's fathers. 

"Things like that always are..." to any authority.
