This is late, but I've had a hard time deciding exactly what I want to say about today. Today has been a struggle at times, but when I think about what a blessing my Daddy was, not only to me, but to so many others, it made the day a bit easier. I was blessed with a father who went above and beyond what was required of him. In today's day and time, there are children living fatherless lives, but I was so so blessed. I was blessed with an earthly father who taught me about my Heavenly One. A father who loved me when I didn't deserve his love. A father who showed me I could do anything if I was willing to work for it. A father who taught me to think for myself and make my own decisions. A father who missed countless hours of sleep staying up talking about Jesus, science, sports, politics, or whatever the topic was that day. A father who never missed a ball game, most likely filmed it, and stayed up late breaking the film down with me. A father who taught me to never stop learning. A father who taught me to give back, because nothing of this world is ours; it's given to us to use for His good. And most importantly, I was blessed with a father who taught me to love like Jesus does. What I had, was a rarity; a father, a best friend, a confidante, a real Daddy. I'm eternally grateful to have called him mine. If there's any place he'd rather be than here with his family, it's where he is now. I love you, Daddy, always... 💕 #FathersDay
