Mercy: Unfortunately no. I wanted to go to L.A. but I got pregnant my Senior year. Springbreak got a little too fun for me.
Mercy: Oh, I mean I can. if you want me too.
Sam: Where did you end up going for spring break
No work today and to celebrate I will be the laziest Iâve ever been. Which means staying in my underwear, eating junk food and playing video games. Zero regrets regarding this decision and definitely not ashamed. Iâm acting brave right now, but I donât even know if Iâll actually be able to stay put and not do anything at all. Thatâs how lame I am. Wish me luck.
skylarberryâ:
Dude, that sounds like the ideal way to celebrate if you ask me. Although I wouldnât have any trouble with that challenge. I think the hardest part of it for me would be trying to make myself get out. So what games did you end up getting into?
I played some Mario, and call of duty, had me a Marvel marathon and was thinking of adopting a dog. Pretty relaxed day. Is your days off similar?

Did you actually follow through with your plan, or did you end up sneaking out after all?
Surprisingly, I followed through. I even stayed off of social media for the day. It was awesome. Not sure if I can make this a habit, but it was great as a one time thing. How do you spend your days off? Or do you not have any days off?
felipe--lopezâ:
How hard can it be to just⊠lay there and do nothing at all? You can do it and you feel like youâre failing, just take a nap. I think that counts as doing nothing.
I always end up feeling restless when I do nothing, But I did end up enjoying a Marvel Marathon, playing a few videogames, stayed off of social media for a bit, Turned into a very unproductive day. Though I canât make this a habit no matter how much I want.
cassieinvegasâ:
That is the absolute best way to spend a day and do not waste it, you donât know how many days you have left of that. Eat the whole damn pizza, play eight hours of call of duty, or whatever. Crack out a few cold ones.Â
And I did mostly all of that. It was great to unwind and just be free of responsibilities for the day. How do you spend your days off? May need some new ideas for my next one.
greasemonkeysmytheâ:
Rock on man, thatâs awesome. And exactly the way to spend a day off, enjoy it! Iâd say good luck, but Iâm not sure which option is actually better. Howâd the day go?
It went awesome! I just sat around, had me a little Marvel marathon, and was just relaxed. I think I need to make this a habit on my day off. How has your week been?

Mercy: I like encouraging his dreams, I know how it feels when you can't follow yours completely.
Mercy: There are a bunch of shows I am sure you can find one you like. You should ask your brother to take you to a few
Sam: You weren't able to follow dreams?
Sam: I will ask him, but I thought I would ask you to take me to one.

Mercy: LJ is into science and fun so its a great thing for him
Mercy: You should catch a show, hit the strip up. There are a few things you can do to enjoy yourself
Sam: That's great. Especially doing something you love. How long is camp for?
Sam: Yea, I may catch a few shows. If something catches my eye.

Mercy: A few, he's going to summer camp during Mad Scientist week which hes excited about and we were going to spend some time at the beach.
Mercy: What about you?
Sam: That sounds fun. Never heard of Mad Scientist week though.
Sam: I don't have any plans. Still trying to get used to being back. Any recommendations?

Sam: Honestly, no. But I'm happy you did use it. How's LJ?
Mercy: You are?
Mercy: He's good, happy its summer vacation.
UNsent: I really need to talk to you about him
Unsent: Hey he's your son
Unsent: You know you ha-
Sam: Ah, so any plans for his summer vacation?

Sam: Oh, yea. Hey, How is it going? Glad to hear from you.
Mercy: Didn't think I was gonna use your number?
Sam: Honestly, no. But I'm happy you did use it. How's LJ?

Mercy: Hey Sam its Mercedes
Unsent: The girl you got pregnant during springbreak
Mercy: Girl from the coffee Shop
Sam: Oh, yea. Hey, How is it going? Glad to hear from you.

mercedesarijonesâ:
âWell I am sure eventually you will figure it out. LJ.â
âShe went out with this guy andhe coughed up ha hairball right on the dinner table.â
âLogan James Jones! I swear to all that is good! Why are you just telling all my business?â
âHey not my fault you talk and laugh loud. You and Aunt Sky and Aunt Cass were talking about it.â he turned to Sam. âShe should have let me vet him but Iâm 14 and she thinks I donât know these things. And I am the comic fan not my mom I was just lucky she chose those names.â
âAnd now it is time for us to go!â Mercedes was mortified. Not only was LJ spilling all her tea, he was just laughing and joking with Sam, the guy who happened to be his father and neither knew it.
Sam couldnât stop laughing at the coughing up a hairball. âMan, thatâs disgusting, but Itâs not the worst date. Iâve had some that will make that guy seem like the best man out there, but of course, Iâll save that for another time.â If there was going to be another time. Sam was trying to feel Mercedes out, but she didnât seem interested. Sam turned back to Logan. âYou got extremely lucky that she just happened to pick that name.â And he was. It was a great name. He was going to ask about comic con but Mercedes announced that they were leaving. âWell, here,â Sam pulled out a card with his name on it. âIn case you ever figure out where we know each other. Give me a call.â
skylarberryâ:
Dude, donât jinx yourself! I agree with you about unpacking though. I guess when youâre packing youâre all excited about a new destination. But after, it just feels like work. I think you need to rope Stevie into helping you out! But seriously, welcome back.
Now, thereâs a suggestion. But then again, I rather do it myself so he doesnât come across any new black mail content.
And thanks. It feels good to be back. How are you? Staying out of trouble?
mercedesarijonesâ:
This was maddening, besides the fact that this guy looked so familiar there was something about his eyes, they tugged at her heart and that wasnât a good thing. She shok it off listening but stopped short as he spoke up. âIâm sorry you said your name is Sam and you are in the Air Force?â Nope nope nope! No there is no way that he is here right now. No! Her mind was racing and if matters werenât bad already the reason she was internally frealing out just walked into the Coffee shot.Â
LJ frowned. âMom you said you would meet me at the car, I was standing there forever.â
âDonât be so dramatic! I didnât leave you and tahts all that matters.â
LJ looked at Sam and back to his mom. âMa are you on a coffee date? Thought you gave up dating after catboy.â
âOh God. Logan James! Stop!
âYup, been in there for over almost 15 years now. Didnât think I would make it into a career, but here I am.â Sam noticed she didnât say anything about her job. But before he could ask, they were interrupted by a teen age boy. Sam chuckled at their dynamic, âOh, this isnât a date. Just a weird sense of deja vu. But I would love to hear about the cat boy. Seems entertaining enough.â When he heard that the Kidâs name was Logan James, his smile grew bigger. âOh, are you a comic book nerd also? Maybe thatâs where we met. Ever been to a comic con before?â
