On the hunt for big stuff 😂

Drove around Bay City Michigan this looking for any big equipment I could see. I did not find any Great Lakes freighters in the river but I found one train.

This train was headed south towards Saginaw. There are a lot of clouds still hanging around after yesterday’s rain. (a good thing)

I also stopped by this 👇

This is the retired navy ship the USS Edson. Tours are available at certain days and times. I have never boarded her but it would be interesting.

Stopped at a store on the way back home and I got one more errand to run yet.

While this seems cute I'm pretty sure it's stressful to the hamster

The hamster does not watch movies, and therefore is unaware that the cardboard and plastic props in his obstacle course are references to well-known cinematic deathtraps.

@weefidan serious answer: doesn't look like a stressed or overwhelmed hamster to me! I'm fairly certain that this wasn't all traversed at the same time, just in short little segments for each space*. The hamster looks like it's having a good time exploring: big open eyes, ears up, taking some time to sniff around and scoop up seeds along the way.

my hamsters were both muuuuuch more conservative about exploring new places than this hamster appears here (and also much more inclined to turn around and/or try to jump down to get as low as possible). I'd guess that the hamster got plenty of time to explore most of the "traps" to get to a routine for going from point A to point B - it looks much more similar to my hamster's 5th+ time exploring a Lego maze I'd build for her, once she'd learned how everything connected and where I'd hidden millet seeds for her to find. This hamster looks similarly familiar with the bits of course, and is just trundling along the route that it's already figured out works best.

*not saying that to detract from the majesty of the whole thing, it's really cute and also much less potentially-stressful than being stuck in a neverending series of new locations!
