Just to clear things up: I'm Israeli and Jewish-Iraqi.

Please stop projecting politics onto me that you don’t actually understand.

Being an Iraqi Jew means I come from the Babylonian Jewish community — not Ashkenazi, not Sephardi. My family never left the Middle East. We lived under the British Mandate and were forcibly expelled from Iraq by Muslim authorities.

And that's the sanitized version — without even getting into the Farhud or the murders of Jews who didn’t escape.

So really, just leave me out of it.
