Another quarrel with His Most Beloved, His Splendid One, led the Immortan on a solo ride. Typically, trusted Imperators would be keeping a careful eye on His journey, but seemingly none had noticed His departure - stalking straight to His private garage from the Vault. That was just fine, if anything happened the imposing God could hold His own.
And of course something DID happen, and perhaps His age did slow Him now. These bitter thoughts plagued His aching mind, a welcome distraction from the unforgiving Wastes Sun scorching down. A trio of Rock Riders - far from their territory - had closed in on the imposing Gigahorse seemingly out of nowhere. Did they know who it was that drove this elegant death machine? Foolhardy, but a welcome challenge. A sharp jerk to the left, and then whipping back to the right easily dispatched two of the weak riders and their pitiful bikes. The last one Joe decided to end with a bullet - but not before the degenerate launched a grenade atop the Gigahorse.
Now here the downed Lord was, sprawled and burnt harshly, bleeding and blistering openly, entirely up his back. The scorching curving up to His chest - the carapace disgustingly melted to his heaving form. If He was not found, He would certainly die. If He was, He still might perish later from the infections surely already squirming through His flesh. Little did he know one of His loyal War Boys was on a solo ride of his own, and quite nearby.
The sound of the nearby explosion was more than enough to get Nux’s attention, revved up as he was and ready for battle if needed even without his lancer. Making a sharp turn the tires of his car slip on the sand only momentarily before he speeds off to where he could still see a cloud of smoke.
Upon approach worry grows in his chest faster than any sickness ever could as he lays eyes on whatever is left of the majestic giga horse. Hastily getting out of his own car the driver nearly trips over his own feet, falling to his knees in the sand next to their god.
‘Immortan!’ He addresses Him, clearly quite panicked as he does not dare to touch him all that much. First he settles for unlooping the thin piece of cable keeping a water canteen attached to one of his belts.
Biting his scarred lower lip the fingertips of his free hand brush against the mask on Joe’s face trying to figure out a safe way to possibly remove it. Nux had never really been this close to the now injured warlord before, and he surely didn’t want to bestow the God’s wrath over himself by messing up.
Panic seized Joe as a motor rumbled madly towards Him, fleshy palms slapping searchingly about his middle for a gun, any gun. No luck. As He was testingly balling His hands should the need for close combat arise, Nux appeared in His blurred vision. With that gauntness, the hollowed eyes, skeletal scars - The Immortan briefly thought Death had finally come to carry Him to Valhalla. Eyes refocusing, He was presented with an even more welcome sight - a War Boy. "War Boy," was wheezed, but not without that ever-present commanding tone. Stretching his right hand up towards His maw, He thought better of it as the burned flesh on His shoulders was pulled. There was a hiss of pain. Perhaps a blessing - a War Boy had never gazed upon His unadorned face. An Imperator or two, his Wives, occasionally the Bullet Farmer, and attending War Pups, but that was it. A different path was chosen: a stubby but strong hand carefully wedged a duo of blunt fingers between the horse teeth, prying them open until the terrifying jaw was open in a silent - scream, howl? Divine blood seeped from a small incision on the pad of one finger, coating one of the protruding teeth in crimson. "What... is your name, My son?" @completely-nux
🔪
When Joe came to - for the second time - He instinctively fumbled a hand towards His horrendous mask, somehow still slung across His sagging face. Judging by how His pristine lungs hacked violent coughs out the tanned bladder was punctured, though. Propping up on one skinned - or rather, flayed - hand, the Gigahorse was readily in His blurred vision. Smoking, flipped and entrenched in a trap hole. The answer to what had happened dawned on Joe as the Warlord noted the vicious pangs that resonated from jagged, gleaming glass shards embedded in his pustuled skin. One had found home in His bloated gut, somehow making it through the carapace and filling it with crimson. Definitely no more windshields.
And now the hallucinations, wonderful. At least it was a pleasant one - the shape of a lovely woman with dark, wild curls surrounding her pretty face like plumes of smoke was approaching.

@maskedwarlord
Yes, he was right. She couldn’t kill him. Although she strongly squeezed in the hands a gun, aiming at him (right between the eyebrows), Ivakir knew one thing - for some unknown reason she couldn’t kill him.
As she could see, Joe realized that she didn’t see in him a god, but saw that all these games in the gods were just a farce. How many people have been deceived, and how many believed in him…
Iv won’t kill him, but she could do something that would overshadow his life.
- Take off your mask, - she firmly grabbed the gun handle.
"What?" Brow still raised, the sharp - but noticeably tired - eyes underneath turned to slivers. Attention of the God turned to the faux lung, barely rising with each breath. Useless, now. It was true, years of pampering had led to His already withering lungs being more sensitive. But that wasn't the only reason: it was that fear, again. Joe had a habit of wearing it around anyone of importance, even in the Citadel, to keep up appearances. And Immortan Joe knew how to work it. Tilting His head one way, He allowed the huge horse teeth to glint with the unforgiving Sun. Cerulean eyes were blown wide now - rimmed in red and black, bloodshot, crazed with pain, with rage. A meaty paw slammed into the sand, and His form was drug another foot. Tilting the other way, the mad grimace was momentarily obscured by the parched, but still slightly otherworldly, mane of white. Extending his neck so the still-usable jaws arched towards her, the Immortan said, with more than a little bite to His voice: "You'll have to do it." @ivakir

A Visit to the Vault
Danu’s breaths start to deepen, the blush of lust reddening her cheeks and chest as Joe teases her, finger slowly creeping towards her cunt. Her hips buck and tilt up as he plays with her whites, demanding him to touch her more, where she needs it.
As Joe patronizes her, Danu warps her arms around his back, clutching at his plastic armor. She imagines clawing deep gouges in his back, shredding his skin and bursting the boil that mar his skin. His mask irritates her, scratching her skin and making her wish it was his mouth on her neck instead. She fantasizes biting into the soft flesh of his throat, ripping him open and drinking down his life blood until he is dead weight on top of her.
But she bites her own lip instead, a muffled moan leaking out of her as the rough pad of his thumb works its way under her whites and strokes over her labia.
Never before has lust ignited inside of her so quickly. Her legs fall open for Joe in a breath, inviting Joe to touch her more, to crawl between them and fuck her, and she can feel herself growing wet for him, just after one touch.
She hates him, but she wants him so badly. Wants Joe to crush her down into the mattress, pin her under his great weight and strength and claim him for himself forever. Danu never thought she would feel this way about him, seeing as until recently she has fought him tooth and nail. She’s only behaving to escape his beating and lectures, to ride out her last pregnancy with the best health she can so she will be strong when she is returned to the Waste.
But with home looming over the horizon, the reality of her situation is starting to set in.
“Am I not one of your people?” moans Danu, pressing her cheek to the side of Joe’s mask and licking the shell of his ear. “You kil- My family is dead and without you, I have no one. I will be alone in the Waste.”
A very pleased smirk pulls at His sagging jowls beneath the metal-and-bone grimace. Very much the cat who ate the canary, if the cat was an overpowered madman and the canary was a willful beauty imprisoned in his all-encompassing cage.
Some, particularly His abused wives and certainly His fearful yet adoring War Boys, might believe the Immortan to be a mind-reader. This, of course, was not the case, but the fact was He kept His carapace and mask on around the only recently-Tamed Danu due to an inkling that she would do all that she fantasized about if Joe were to truly expose himself. Of course that would never be admitted, after all the boasts of Danu’s Taming had been too loud to backtrack on. The Holy Ruler wouldn’t admit even to himself that the desert flower could certainly rip His crepe-coated gullet out with ease - with those sure, young teeth. How long would it take the Sacred blood to leave Him? She’d certainly wear the splashes of carmine across her lovely face, her swollen breasts, as a flag of honor.
Joe did not concern Himself with these thoughts now, much too busy suddenly shoving a girthy finger into Danu’s awaiting slit, a second following with a quickness. Eager, so eager - it was rare one of His robed Angels showed any enthusiam, much less this much.
“You are one of my Wives. Most dear to Me. As your Husband and Leader, I know what’s best,” the pace of the shoving and probing fingers increased, heel of His broad palm slapping noisily agaisnt her clit.
“I know it may seem unfair at times, but none can see as far as I. Everything I do furthers our survival.”

Iv had to pass by, leaving him here, right here, and forget, what she saw. Or … she just could quickly finish him and leave the body for greedy scavengers.
But instead of that she was standing at a distance, as the fox was watching the hunter, who had fallen into his own trap. Fox … Yes, she was just a fox, a prey, which spent her life running away from his pack of dogs, hiding among the rocks and sands, robing and killng them.
Any other inhabitant of Wasteland without hestitation would do what was neccesary. But Ivakir couldn’t make a move to come closer.
Immortan Joe. As it turned out, not so immortal. She didn’t risk to utter this name, even in her mind. Whether it was the fear or the absurdity of the situation? Would you call Zeus a god, if he would suddenly fell from Olympus?
The first question - where was his loyal army. The second - whether he was dying or not. What an unexpected meeting. So unexpected, like it was just a trick of the imagination.
“You!” Was roughly called out, a thick hand motioning vaguely to her seemingly-wavering outline, “You know… who I am! Help Me… and you will be… rewarded.” Every word seemed to wheedle the sizeable windshield chunk deeper, one hand jerked to grasp it futiley.
Breaths shuddered out of his large, dying form. It took a great deal of effort to begin dragging Himself across the scorching sand, lengthy groans mostly eaten up by His mask. His destination was the smokey Gigahorse. More specifically: the flare gun within. Now was the only time Joe regretted feasting so greedily - the sagging fat on his old form was making this all the more arduous.
Divine blood soaked into the sand, leaving a rust-colored streak as he maneuvered forward.
@ivakir
Her shoulders twitched, when Iv heard that he spoke to her. So it was not a mind game or some kind of joke. How funny, and even in the state, when he, like a dying fat hog, crawled to his car and managed to give orders. “Immortan” will die and will not have time to get to his fortress - Ivakir could hear clearly, how the air was leaving the bag behind his back. There were the rumors that the lungs of His Majesty weren’t adapted to the local air.
She should go away and leave him to die - a sensible idea, which she thought a second ago, but she couldn’t take a step, watching with a slightly frightened eyes as Immortan tried to crawl to his car.
Reward. Ivakir’s lips twitched slightly, as if she was going to laugh or smile. And what it will be? Brand on the neck and chain on her leg? It was better to die in freedom than in prison.
- I’m afraid that this is not a situation, where you can give orders. Her voice was surprisingly quiet, even though she was really scared. Ivakir didn’t like that voice, because it easily showed her fear. She pulled out a gun and pointed at him. - Stay where you are.
Joe had never been good with women disagreeing with Him, even before those blasted bombs spread their fire and radiation over anything their blinding lights could touch. This halted His staggered dragging. Cocking one wispy, ashen brow high upon that wrinkled forehead, He really observed her for the first time. Ah, there was that fear. Fear that Joe built an empire on, a Godhood. More sustaining to the Immortan than His precious Aqua-Cola. But, He noted with a very physical grimace, there was something else.
Forcing a grand guffaw from a deeply injured body, He set His heavy gaze upon her. Joe was not good with women disagreeing with Him, and was even worse when they dared to tell Him what to do.
“You’re not going to kill Me.”
@ivakir
The hand moved to her smooth, dark hair, petting it with a gentleness Joe rarely showed. Perhaps she was on to something, if he was softer with His Valkyries, perhaps they’d be more eager to bear an Heir for him. Hmm.
“I will…try, Fragile.”
The Immortan stood slowly, joints popping noisily. Calloused feet strode to the bookshelf, square hand wavering over the speckled and water-damaged antiques. Selecting one carefully, Joe brought it back to His Wife. The Immortan would start with his littlest Bride, perhaps the most deserving.
“How have your lessons been going, hmm?”
@quietwife
Cheedo let him pet her head. It was nice when her sisters did it, but his hand was heavy and unfamiliar. Maybe if he did it more often she would grow to like it. They would have to wait and see.
She watched as he struggled upwards and went for the bookshelf. His body was failing him. It was a shame really, Cheedo had never got to see her husband in his prime. Now he was just a decrepit old man.
She took the book from him and turned it over carefully. Miss Giddy said you had to be careful with these old things or else they would fall apart. They were a lot like Joe in that regard. “My lessons are alright I think. Nothing new.”
Joe watched her slim fingers turning the aged tome with a content fascination. His already lined brow furrowed further at her comment, "Nothing new? I don't wish for you to stagnate, My Fragile. What do you want to learn?"
After a moment's consideration - whether to make His old bones ache via standing or trying to get up again if He resumed His place - the bed dipped as the Immortan took His place by His wife's side.
"Maybe there's something I could teach you?" For once, Joe wasn't being lecherous. Cheedo was still, unfortunately, not ready for Him. But what could He - a Warlord steeped in blood and battle - show such a delicate flower that wouldn't make her weep?
It hurts! (heirtothecitadel)
16. Your muse has been beaten to near death by thugs. My muse drove them off, but it may be too late.
A chorus of agonized groans, pierced by exhilarating gunshots to quiet the serenades, still sounded. The Immortan had received word raiders were spotted near the Citadel, Corpus’ scope had seen more.
“Hela!” Roared the Warlord, not even bothering to step over the dying bodies that his Boys were eagerly looting. Blonde hair spun up as he looked this way and that, until he spotted a matching white-blonde patch. Matted with blood. Storming over and dropping to his knees next to his daughter, he somewhat ungently pulled her head into his knees. “Hela! Speak to me!”
@heirtothecitadel
The Organic muttered to himself, something about a lost cause, as blunt fingers wove twine ungently into snowy flesh. The wounds were being deftly closed, despite the twine being stained in spots - obviously having been used before and washed and bleached for reuse - and the disgruntled medic looking above her. Close enough for her to smell his awful stench - Organic reeked of old blood, stress sweat and rotting teeth. A jittery red thumb hooked her up to a motionless blood bag, casting longing glances over his bony shoulder. He wanted to be out in the excitement with his brothers.
Luckily for the fast-acting War Boy, The Immortan swaggered onto the elevator after the blow to the feral child’s head. Brittle blond locks cast this way and that as Joe’s nearly-colorless eyes searched about for the source of the ruckus. The God raised one great arm, casting His meaty hand forward several times, signalling the already struggling War Pups and helping Imperators to lower Him faster. The elevator made a dull boom as it made contact with the solid Waste floor, but even over that the call of The Immortan could be heard,
“Bring him to Me!”
@heirtothecitadel
She was vaguely aware of the stitches closing her wounds, but the pain was fading away. Now that she was receiving blood to replenish what she’d lost, her strength was returning, but far slower than normal. The fact she was hardly conscious now was a miracle. Her eyes swam under the lids, flashes of the day coming back to her. The attack. The revelation. The search for her son. Blood ran cold in her veins, though she couldn’t give up. Not when she’d gone through all of this to have her son back.
Down on the Waste floor, the War Boys were making a path for their God, dragging along the boy and his caretaker to present to him. The old woman clung to him, having to be torn away from the child as he was lifted up over the crowd. He stirred at the sudden movement, blue eyes widening as the first sight to meet his gaze was the Immortan himself. He struggled once again, trying to free himself, but it was useless once he was set down before Immortan Joe, trapped on all sides with nowhere to go. The boy stared up at him, tiny compared to the giants around him.
@maskedwarlord
After stitching up the gashes, Organic was a blur of checking the blood drip from the poor, whimpering Blood Bag, dabbing at the patchy dried blood with a wet rag and smoothing uncolored ointment here and there with his grubby fingers. After that, the loathed Mechanic retreated to a low shelf, tinkering sounds coming from behind his sloped form. When he returned, it was with a syringe of grease-colored liquid which he unceremoniously plunged into Hela’s slight arm.
“For the pain,” Organic rasped, that disturbing smirk tugging at one corner of his chapped lips.
Onward Joe lumbered down the cleared path, deftly disguising His ever-present slight limp as a headstrong strut. His aging body was finally turning on His ancient war wounds. When He arrived, it was with wide eyes of His own - those powder blue irises - Joe might as well have been staring in a mirror.
“Boy!” The Warlord hailed, unnecessarily loud and setting his sights on the child below him, and ignoring the crone. For now. “Do you know, who I am?”
@heirtothecitadel
“Dont you dare hit me!“ (the vengeful wife)
Joe rolled his eyes before leveling their iciness again at the former Wife. Exuberant were his War Boys as they nearly busted down his door, he had heard their Krazy shrieks down the hallway. All of them chattered at once, wiry arms outstretched in their V8 salutes, eyes wild in gaunt sockets. With one resounding command he had ordered the now slightly sulking boys away. He would get his answer from the source.
“I have no reason to strike you. Yet.” The Immortan uttered the last word threateningly, the hiss of his respirator lingering, before: “Now, WHY have my Boys brought you back here?”
@thevengefulwife
Voli’s mouth falls open, gaping as he looks at the pool of water. It is more water than he has ever seen at once, steaming and full of pretty colours. He doesn’t know what the colourful things floating on the water are, but they smell nice and must be as light as feathers to be able to float on the water.
Creeping carefully towards the edge of the pool, Voli crouches down beside it and pokes a finger in. He pulls it out quickly, gasping as he looks to his mother. “It is hot!” exclaims the little boy, eyes as wide as saucers.
A grin spreads across Danu’s face, her eyes alight with joy as she watches her lovely sun experience hot water for the first time. He looks half afraid and half excited, amazed that water could be so hot and deep. Danu can’t wait to get him undressed and in the pool, just to see his reaction.
“Yes Joe!” chirps Voli, turning to smile at his father. Voli thinks the huge white man is smiling back at him from behind the mask, which warms Voli’s heart a little. He knows Joe gives people nice things to hide the bad stuff he does, his mother told him so, but the water is so nice… Joe couldn’t be as bad as his mother said, right? “It is so pretty! What are those things on the water?”
Danu smile is warm, full of unconditional love. She follows Voli’s gaze, smiling at Joe for a brief moment before she realizes what she is doing and her smile turns back into a scowl.
“Hot water makes it easier to get clean, love,” explains Danu, reaching out and peeling Voli’s coat off of him, followed by his scarf, leaving him in just his tunic (an oversized t-shit) and worn out boots. “Just like in our sweat lodge. Do not worry, I will be in there with you. Nothing to worry about.”
Voli hums and nods, looking back towards the water.
Once Joe has left the room, Danu and Voli strip nude and climb into the water.
While he had been brave at the edge of the pool, Voli clings to his mother as she eases him in. It was much deeper than it looked, and the sensation of so much water and flower petals on his skin is a little unsettling. But he warms up to it quickly as he plays by splashing the water, the ripples disturbing the tranquil surface and sending the petals floating away.
Danu washes his hair with soaps and balms while making Voli wash himself with the soap. Her son giggles as bubbles crop up, cupping them in his hands an blowing them at his mother. Danu giggles with him, tickling him a little before dunking him under the surface of the water, washing out his hair and drowning out any bugs that may be on him.
Danu allows Voli to splash around as she cleans herself, taking her times to wash away years of dirt, sweat and blood. She had found ways to keep them reasonably clean in the Waste, but really, a sweat lodge can only do so much.
The shampoos smell wonderful and the soap is soft on her skin; Danu hasn’t had anything this luxurious in years. But she can’t enjoy the bath to its fullest, knowing Joe and his Imperators are right outside the door. They may not be locked in the Vault, but Danu knows she is just as trapped. She longs for the Waste already, longs to be alone with just her son, but she’ll never be alone or free again here in the Citadel. Joe would have them watched constantly, to make sure nothing happens to Voli, and Danu’s skin crawls knowing those grease head bastards will always been around.
But maybe, if she begs pretty, Joe will take her and Voli out in the Waste from time to time.
Once clean, Danu and Voli climb out of the pool and dry off. Voli marvels at how pale they are without all the dirt, although they are both very tanned from the scorching sun, and how blonde their hair really is. Out in the Waste, it had been a dirty brown, but now it was gleaming and golden.
Danu dresses Voli in a pair of black pants and a white shirt, but her boy quickly grabs up his scarf and wraps it around his neck and head.
Much to Danu’s dismay, all that Joe has set out for her is a few strips of white cloth, the clothing of a wife. With a sneer, Danu makes a pair of shorts, then a halter top to support her full, milk heavy breasts. The last strip of cloth she folds into a shawl and drapes it over her head so that it would cover her hair and the brand on the back of her neck. She may be Wasteland thin, half starved and without an ounce of water weight on her, but years of birthing children for Joe has widened her hips and made her breasts swell, and the whites show off her womanly curves well.
Lifting her chin, Danu leads Voli out of the bathroom by the hand. She tries to exude confidence and power, to show she does not fear the Imperator and that she is the Queen Joe claims she is.
“Well, do we look like royalty now?” Danu asks Joe, raising an eyebrow at her husband.
Joe feels somewhat taken aback when Voli smiles genuinely. Of course, the God feels joy, but He is so unused to the genuine affection. Joe momentarily contemplates if that is the rarest treasure now, more scarce than His prized Aqua Cola. But, He sees how easy and lovingly Danu and Voli interact. Perhaps it was just another burden for the Allfather to bear.
"Ah, those are petals. They are sweet-smelling, pretty bits of flowers," Joe offers, unsure if Voli had ever gazed upon one himself. A trip to the gardens was in order then.
There is a bit of awkwardness as Joe shuffles out, soundly closing the door behind Him. Danu's comment on the heat of the water still rattles in His aged mind - if the young Son comes out with scalds heads will roll. Literally. Meanwhile, Joe bides time doing something He does very well: issuing orders.
"Alert Organic! I want them checked up. And clear out the Red Thumbs! Now, as for the feast-" Joe whirls as gracefully as his grinding joints and heavy boots will allow, straw-like hair flitting up briefly at the split ends. He blinks hard, eyebrows cocked, "Yes, of course! You look wonderful," casting an approving nod at His Heir, "Both of you" is added. But Joe's clear eyes linger on Danu, on her curves - that He notes with appreciation - have been unchanged by the starving desert.
Clearing his throat heartily, Joe stands a bit taller, "Now, I think a trip to the doctor is in order. Make sure nothing is amiss." His persuasive voice is cloaked with best intentions, but the Immortan always has ulterior motives. Specifically: a paternity test, and a check for lumps and bumps. Anything that could cast Voli out of Heirdom, and back into the unforgiving Wasteland.
A skin-and-bones War Boy had delivered the news, surely ordered by some Imperator who feared Joe's wrath over this particular issue. The adoration in sunken eyes quickly turned to fear as his God screamed at him for information he did not know. Not ten minutes later the Immortan was in His full regalia. Glorious and terrifying. The rising cloud of copper-hued dust, struck through with whirls of charcoal announced the war party's presence miles in advance. The Gigahorse was flanked by a dozen jacked-up rides, Boys screeching their war tunes. They happened upon the Major soon enough. To add insult to literal injury, the offending Warlord had thrown the Bullet Farmer out in the middle of nowhere. Brakes screeched, the War Boys stricken silent for once as Joe lumbered out as swiftly as he could to his fallen friend, alternating between booms calling for Kalashnikov and for the Organic Mechanic. @bulletfarming
