Hallo I got just wrote a new psalm, hope you'll enjoy! Oh, there are two versions, I dunno which to choose so I posted all of it.
Psalms of Mistakes and Failures (Original)
I am a terrible person, that's for sure...
Full of wrongdoings and unrighteousness,
Unable to keep myself away from doing the things I shouldn't,
And missed every opportunity that was given to me...
I sometimes think,
I've failed You, horribly.
Despite knowing deeply that these failures are nothing compared to Your greatness and the gift you've given, which is grace.
How do you feel about me, as in this moment of my existence?
I hope to see a glimpse of Your face,
Despite knowing well how You would feel.
Confirmation is useless.
But still, I desire to know.
What am I doing?
With my life, in each and every moment?
I'm the one who's at fault, that I cannot deny,
No matter what, I'm always aware
Of my actions, my choices, the responsibility on my shoulders.
Yet... I ignore those things,
And follow the call of my flesh instead.
Isn't that make me a terrible person?
Aren't I a terrible person?
Although I've been transformed as a new living being,
My actions proved otherwise,
That I'm still that same person,
Living in filth and sloth,
Ignorant and so careless of my upcoming decisions.
I knew better, what I should do, what I have to do,
Yet I don't do it.
I do what I hate, and don't when it is what I want to, deep inside.
I understand yet don't at the same time about myself.
Sin lives in me, sucking the life of me like a parasite.
Day by day I have to live with it, I have to live in it.
I feel like one day, I might lose myself,
And then I'll loose You, too.
Which is something that's unbearable.
I hope that would never happen.
I want to be better.
I want to be better.
I want to be just like You.
You, the light of my life
The only way.
Psalms of Mistakes and Failures (AI Refined)
Surely I am flawed—
a wanderer of crooked paths,
full of wrong and restless desire.
I know the doors I should not open,
yet still my hand reaches for them.
I have let blessings pass me by,
and opportunities fall like rain through open fingers.
At times I think:
I have failed You terribly.
Yet even these failures
are smaller than Your greatness,
and weaker than the grace
You have placed before me.
How do You look upon me
in this very hour of my life?
I long for even a glimpse of Your face.
I know what mercy would say.
I know reassurance alone cannot change me.
Still, I ache to hear from You.
What am I doing
with this life You have given me?
Moment by moment, choice by choice—
what am I making of it?
The fault is mine;
this I cannot deny.
I know my actions,
my choices,
the weight of responsibility upon my shoulders.
Yet I turn away from wisdom
and follow the voice of my flesh.
Does that make me terrible?
Am I as ruined as I fear?
Though I have been called new,
my deeds often speak of the old self.
I still find myself in filth and sloth,
careless with tomorrow,
blind to the seeds I plant today.
I know what is right.
I know what must be done.
Yet I do not do it.
What I hate, I practice.
What I love, I neglect.
My heart understands,
yet my hands betray it.
There is a darkness within me
that clings like a parasite,
draining breath from bone,
strength from spirit.
Day by day I wrestle with it,
and at times I fear
that one day I may lose myself—
and in losing myself,
lose sight of You.
May that day never come.
I want to be better.
I want to be better.
I want to become like You.
You are the light of my life,
the road beneath my feet,
the only way.
