Frankie smiled, returning the shake of his hand firmly. “It’s nice to meet you too,” she said. “I was actually just headed to get a bite to eat if you’d like to join me,” she said, pointing in the direction she was headed. “I’m not picky so wherever you’d like to go.”

William smiled at her returned words and lowered his arm to rest by his side once more. “That sounds great, you don’t mind me coming along? You might not like my company.” He joked with her. “What are the options in this place?”

“It depends who you are playing against. The games are always enjoyable ones to get people in, but some people take it too far. There is a fine line between trash talking and being mean.”

“I can understand, competition does not bring out the best in others. Are you one of those people?”

Apparently both of their instincts kicked in as she felt the touch in kind; at the very least she hadn’t dropped her paperwork, the last thing she needed having to get the liquor sheets in order again.  “I may be small, but I’m made of stronger stuff than that,” Jude chuckled, taking a small step back so as not to crowd his space or vice versa.  “New to the school, I take it?”

William smiled warmly at her reassurance she was uninjured while his hands dropped back down to his sides. “I am glad, apologies once again.” He brought a hand up to his neck and rubbed the back of it gently when she assessed him so easily, a meek smile curved on his lips. “Am I that obvious, I’m not normally so clumsy.”

At his confirmation that he was alright Lily let out a relieved breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding, letting a small smile flick up the corners of her lips, “You’re certain you’re fine, Sir? We could exchange licenses and proofs of insurance…or something.” A faint giggle fell from her lips at her own lame joke before the sound trailed off with a embarrassed blush. “I’m fine, thank you. I promise that I’m not always so incredibly klutzy. Lily, by the way.” The girl held out her free hand in greeting, her smile broadening warmly, “Liliana, but Lily is far less of a mouthful.”

William chuckled softly at her reply to his questions and simply shook his head. “I hate to say, I don’t have any insurance, I hope we can settle out of court?” He gently teased her. He took her hand in his and shook it firmly, eyes glancing over her features with curiosity. “Don’t worry, I won’t hold it against you, I am the same, but I worry my first day nerves got the better of my spacial awareness.”

Gina’s gaze fell to his outstretched hand, pressing her lips together tightly as her hands buried themselves in her sleeves, holding them firmly around her waist. “I, er…” She almost told him she couldn’t shake his hand, but stopped, thinking he might take it as an insult. “I-It’s nice t-to meet you, t-too.” She said, offering him a friendly smile.

William’s eyebrows knotted together as his hand remained midair, her own not coming up to shake it. After a few seconds of waiting he allowed it to drop my his side once more. “Not a big handshaker?” He didn’t want to pry, but he found himself too curious. “Where were you headed?”

“I used to think it was ‘loyal’, but who knows now things are very different.”

“I’m unhurt as well,” she said with a little smile. “So it seems no harm was done here.” She chuckled a little, tucking some of her blonde hair back over hear ear. “Where are you headed?” she asked curiously before holding her hand out to him. “I’m Frankie, by the way.” 

“I’m glad.” He replied while returning her smile. He didn’t hesitate to raise his own hand and wrap it around her in a shake, his smile more relaxed. “I’m William. It’s nice to meet you Frankie.” He looked around when considering her first question. “I don’t have a destination in mind, I’m new so I was just taking in the scenery. Seeing what this place has to offer. Yourself?”

Sabrina took a step back, giving the man some personal space. She really should have been paying more attention to where she was going. “Thank goodness.” She would feel terrible if she had harmed him. “Nothing at all. It’s ummm…” She turned red, eyes on the floor. “avideogametournament.”

“A video game tournament?” He repeated back to her with a curious smile. “I cannot say I’ve ever experience such a thing, buy is it enjoyable?”

“No… I’m fine… Thank you” Sibyla stuttered, a little embarrassed. Another great first impression… “Are you okay, Sir?”

“I am perfectly fine.” He said, his hands outstretched a little for emphasis. “I’m pretty solid, not easily broken.” He spoke in a lighter tone, hoping to ease her tension in his company. “Please, call me William. What is your name?”

“You’re not. A blind person has better coordination than you. Heightened senses that you clearly lack.” Belle replied, crossing her arms over her chest as her hazel eyes scanned over the man before her. 

William lowered his head slightly and shook it, tucking his hands into his trouser pockets whilst he listened to the blonde woman speak. “I fear this conversation will go in a circle from your demeanour.” He commented before raising a querying brow at her.

Gina grabbed tightly into the straps of her bag, avoiding lengthy eye contact with him as she noticed the lack of collar around his neck. She nod her head softly as his question, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “I-I’m fine. I’m sorry. I-I’m erm… I-I’m Gina.”

William noticed what he perceived to be a state of shyness coming from the girl, his eyes moving over her face before pausing briefly on her endearing dimples. “Gina.” He repeated her name with a nod of his head. “I am William Bryant. It is nice to meet you.” He spoke smoothly and held out his hand for her to shake.
