Mark Gould @markapgouldart is a brilliant artist with an incredible portfolio of work, but this is the piece that captured my heart! His flawless portrayal of @therock as #BlackAdam took my breath away! The Pineapple Man and Friends exhibit at @artsatmarks has been so much fun! Without change, there would be no butterflies... Ok, so this tragic tale doesn't have this message, nor a happy ending at all actually. Ignore the message. Take in its beauty. Beautiful music. Beautiful performers and performances. Beautiful lighting and ambience. Beautiful set. Beautiful costumes. Beautiful use of props and effects. It's been a while since I got to sit and enjoy a show from the audience, and even longer since I went to the opera. Oh, how I've missed the magic of standing ovations! What a lovely solitary evening. Note to self: Repeat often. Congratulations @hawaiioperatheatre for a(nother) phenomenal production! Can't wait for the next one! And I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see just how well @blaisdellcenter handled the event, coming out of covid restrictions. I wasn't sure what to expect, but everything moved like clockwork. Effortless and smooth, and smiles all around. And the biggest mahalo of all goes to Mele in the box office. From answering my questions over the phone to greeting me in person upon my arrival, she was an absolute joy! So this happened today... my man-bun turned 21, and I got the best present ever: to spend time with him on this milestone day! I got to gift him with his first "adult" piece of art by @kazeman84 , who was kind enough to help keep up the illusion of someone else purchasing his work! He is so in love with it! Thank you @maryanne_artist , @kaaawasaki , @layrstrini and @e.t.soy for the thoughtful gifts that I know he will treasure! And to everyone at the Pineapple Man & Friends Exhibit, thank you for making this "work" day so special for my DenDen! I love that he loves "my people." And to @kimtaylorreece and @justkanoe2 thank you for getting him leid on his BDay... three times! You all rock so hardcore!!! And to my DenDen, thank you for just being exactly who you are.
