Just a gif I made of one of my fantasy characters.
Citrine Lunet from my upcoming book, Solar Eclipse.
Which side would you be on in the Eclipse Series? Okay, full disclosure, this is for a series I am planning on self-publishing, so if you enjoy this quiz, please check out the website and the first book when it's out. If it sounds like something you'd like, of course.

Why is it so much easier to plan your stories than to actually write them?
Story Tidbit:
The Spring Order and Caligo have been fighting for so long neither side can remember how the war started, but both assume it was the other’s fault.
In the Eclipse Series, there are two factions: the Spring Order and Caligo. Solar Eclipse will focus on the Spring Order, but the next book, Lunar Eclipse, will focus on Caligo.
Solar Eclipse is due out on Amazon and Google Books in October 2017! Until then, there will be artwork and contests running on Facebook and Tumblr. The first contest will be starting shortly, as soon as there are enough active followers between this page and the Facebook page to make it worthwhile(honestly, like, four people would work, to be honest).
Me when Posting
1) Reads then reread what I’ve written looking for anything that could be misconstrued in a negative light. 2) Posts. 3) Procedes to freak out that I missed something. 4) Reread the post again twenty times. 5) Frantically hopes the post will be lost to the fathoms of the sea of the internet. 6) Gets a like on the post. 7) Wonders what I was so nervous about. 8) Repeat the cycle all over again with the next post.
Me: Alright, I have planned for everything! Nothing can go wrong and even if it does, I have a plan for it! Fate used Murphey’s Law. Me: SON OF A BISCUIT!
Sometimes it’s hard to make a good, balanced protagonist... until you just stop caring about whether they’re a Mary Sue or not, just make them have a realistic personality, and just have fun writing them.
Creative Person Problems:
When writing: I’m wasting time I should be using for drawing.
When drawing: I’m wasting time I should be using for writing.
It’s hard to write certain villains. Because if you love the character, you end up rooting for them instead of your freaking protagonist. But if you hate them, you don’t want them to touch your precious protagonist because they’re a cinnamon roll and the villain should stay far away and what do you mean that doesn’t make a good story, fight me.
But seriously, don’t write the villain getting hit with a bat fifty times just because you ended up hating the character. No matter how tempting it is, if it doesn’t fit with the story naturally, don’t do it.
Drawing with graphite and gel pens of the main character of my Eclipse series: Citrine Lunet. Well, one of the main characters, anyway. This is going to be a self-published book because why not? Might as well try my hand at actual marketing, so look forward to more from this character. Also, I have a side blog dedicated to this story, so here’s the link to that: https://eclipseseries.tumblr.com/
It’s a bit of a work in progress, right now, but I’ll fix it up soon enough.
