So my girlfriend's girlfriend, (an Australian) and I (Murican) were talking about showers, and a bit of culture shock ensued, so now I'm making this poll. I remember in high school my geography teacher said humans will choose to live in unbeatable heat over unbearable cold, but nearly every single person I've met in my life has said they'd rather die in the cold than live in the heat, so now I thought to myself why not outsource this question!

#school starts at 9 #so I would get about around 7:30 #8 when I skipped breakfast which I always did #leave around 8:30-8:40 #lived close enough we’d be there by start #earliest I got up was around 7 when my mum used to drop me off

idk if this is a trope or whatever but i love it so much when fictional characters massively downplay the severity of their injuries but in more of a comedic way than a tragic one. like some guy gets impaled and they just glance down at the shard of metal sticking out of them and say some dumb bullshit like "oh man. that's gonna need some ice." and then pass out while all their friends yell at them for being an unfunny idiot with terrible priorities.
