You dream, some nights, of a labyrinth deep beneath the ground, where you learned to fear the halogen lights and distant booming sounds.

So judging from ur blog I think u misunderstand what proletariat/bourgeois are. They're not things you're born as--they're identities. So you can be born poor but ID as bourgeois or born rich and ID as proletariat depending on your attitude/involvement in the revolution
bitch what

All the time I kept you out of my poems, you found a way into my body instead. Instead of your becoming another word for dove or wrist bone, owl or stone, you’ve become the impulse that has me raise cairns to mark my way. You’re what all verbs traverse, a fuse for the urge to look at what I can’t see within what I can; also the stillness inside me as wind-riven leaves are driven over the roof shingles into the night. Kindled by earth and sky, you’re the touch of a tongue on my skin, contingent and mortal; and the shy reluctant love of faithfulness to what I feel when at times I think there are no gods. You are in me what is crucial and crucible when the soul, in its root-fire, lasers and welds each fissure and craze line of my loving elusive, if pervasive, you. How stark it is to be alive– and, although absence is the form you take in what we call the world, how durable …

Nell!! Congrats on the progress you’ve made—that’s so great to hear! I’m in a similar boat, trying to get healthier both physically and mentally, and was wondering how your transition to veganism has been? I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go completely vegan (I don’t live on my own so diet changes can be tricky when I’m usually cooking for more than just me). Do you have any go-to meals or just any tips in general on how to stick with a clean diet? Thank you in advance, and again congrats to you!
Thanks!!!
For me it was pretty easy, I am not a big meat eater and was lactose intolerant. So really just had to cut out eggs! Slowly but surely is the best way to make it long lasting. Having a vegan lifestyle is GREAT even if you can’t be FULLY vegan due to budget (although you can work around that) and households!
I really love minimalist baker and hot for food. Their recipes are delicious and usually simply or quick so you can make it for everyone and it doesn’t have to be ~vegan~ focused, just good food that happens to be vegan!
I think meal prep is the easiest way to stick to clean eating. I pack my lunch every day for work, usually veggie burgers (no buns) with some hummus, avocado and some fruit! It’s filling and I feel balanced. Using a sunday night to at least PLAN what you’re eating for the week and if you can prepping and packing is the most helpful thing!!! I don’t eat out much but checking menus in advance to make sure it’s right for you is key!
Go to meals are
quinoa or cauliflower rice bowls with oven roasted veggies (chopped up butternut squash, Brussel sprouts, broccoli & cauliflower if not used as a base) and topped with avocado or spicy hummus!
yellow curry sauce (based with coconut milk) over lentils, super easy and i loooooooooove any curry!!!
unsweetened (no added sugar!! and i like tart things) plain coconut milk based yogurt (most sustainable milk option!) with raspberries and dark chocolate granola to add some sweetness and texture!
oatmeal with almond milk, nut butter, and cinnamon!
check out, hotforfoodblog.com minimalistbaker.com and frommybowl.com (caitlin shoemaker on Youtube) for recipes ideas or budget friendly meals!
best of luck
