i think i would need to reread tsoa to make sure im 100% on this take but the way some of its critics talk about it really does read like a deep loathing of the traits of compassion or gentleness as being feminine and weak. people really talk about it like miller set out to make patroclus a woman when i really think the point was to contrast achilles’ war-like personality with someone associated with healing. and that change is definitely something to be criticized! but some of yall act like a feminine (read: soft) person is the worst thing anyone could be. specifically a feminine gay man
