Calling all Mythical Beasts!

Rhett’s 41st birthday is quickly approaching (October 11), so we need to get a birthday project kick-started for him pretty quickly, taking into account planning time at the start and preparation time at the end.

We need 2 things right now:

1) We need to agree on a project idea. Many of the past projects have generally involved printing and shipping a physical book full of letters and artwork, but we have had a few different projects and it would probably be nice to switch things up a little. We also did really huge, ambitious projects for Rhett’s and Link’s 40th birthdays, but we suggest scaling it back to pre-40 project sizes again so we don’t burn out our volunteers. Which brings us to the next point…

2) We need a volunteer to lead this project. Our birthday projects are only possible when one person, or a small team of volunteers if needed, steps up to organize submissions, keep everything on track, and have it ready by the deadline. Please consider stepping up!

We’re asking that you LEAVE YOUR SUGGESTIONS AT THE LINKED POST so we can keep track of everything in one place and come to a consensus on what to do. Since September has already started, the project itself will need to launch by next week, at the latest. That gives us only a week to decide on an idea and get started.

jfc, guys, I just signed in for like the first time in 84 years to find a fucktonne of gorgeous messages waiting for me. wow. I’m just... stunned tbh?? I didn’t expect that at all. thank you so much to each and every one of you who took the time to send me messages of concern. I’m so sorry to have worried you with my absence. 

in short, I needed a break from the fandom for a little while. no drama pushed me or anything - my own mental health simply called for it. I needed to step back a bit to clear my head and get my personal life back on track. I’m sorry I didn’t say anything beforehand, and I hope you can all forgive me for vanishing so suddenly. it’s incredibly humbling to have come back, expecting nothing, to find so much love waiting for me. this truly is a beautiful fandom and you guys are the best.
