While you have told him about how self-conscious you are of your appearance and weight, he really just can’t help himself and would easily give in to his desires. He’ll give most anything a shot but the films that he tends to stay awake for happen to fall somewhere between the action/adventure and comedy genres. He’s especially fond of big, blockbuster Summer films. I mean, the reason why they keep making Transformers films is because people like Osomatsu actually look forward to dumb, baseless action. That said, he really likes underdog films so you could always find a way to sneak in more cerebral films like Rocky and Fury Road into your movie nights with him.

Cheesy and over-the-top? Non non non, that’s just l’amore! Karamatsu is absolutely in love with even the idea of being in love so he tends to be naturally more drawn in to films who proudly proclaim that “the greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return!” Because of this, musicals and romcoms tend to be some of his favorite genres and he will happily partake in viewing them. Sadly, the only people who will really tolerate watching these big, bombastic musical romps with him are Todomatsu and Jyushimatsu. He also has a soft spot for pulpy American films that he oh so desperately tries to copy from their aesthetics.

While Choromatsu is pretty indifferent to what films he will watch, it’s the films that take a serious look at human nature and relationships that really stick with him. It’s not that he chooses “smart” films to make himself look good (although he will boast that his tastes as better than Osomatsu’s), it’s just that he finds comfort in films relating to how strange, confusing, and frustratingly wonderful the whole pursuit of love and understanding really is. He likes films with dubious endings that don’t exactly tie up every loose end. This is something that annoys some of his brothers but, really, he feels that these endings reflect real life relationships far more accurately.

Predictably, Ichimatsu doesn’t really like films that hand a happy ending over to their audience on a silver platter. He likes films that make the protagonists suffer and fight in order to “deserve” any type of good ending. Deep down Ichimatsu is secretly sappy and longs for that happy ending, but it has to come at a price. This is why, in theory, he likes the concept of a fairy tale but in practice they tend to be too sappy and unrealistic for him. He does have a fondness for horror films but not enough to really place them in his Top 3. (He also used to really love Milo and Otis but ever since the allegations of animal abuse during the film’s troubled production have been brought up he can’t bring himself to enjoy it anymore.)

Jyushimatsu:

Films that center around an optimistic (but slightly naive) protagonist who won’t stop to achieve their goals is something that strikes a particular chord with Jyushimatsu. This feeling is doubled if the film includes a love interest that, while grounded, allows themselves to get swept up into the protagonist’s infectious happiness. While he does enjoy some of the darker films that Ichimatsu watches, in the end he just can’t help but hope for the same type of happy endings that are depicted in the movies that Karamatsu watches. He and Osomatsu tend to watch more animated films than the rest of the brothers so he’s your best bet for a Disney/Ghibli marathon.

It’s very easy to say that someone like Totty would enjoy sappy romcoms and “chick flicks” but that sort of assumption belongs more to Karamatsu. That being said though, Totty’s favorite films DO have a romantic side to them… but most of the time the plot is more concerned with emotions and character development that coincide with a relationship as opposed to the surface level lovey-dovey stuff. It’s why a lot of these films feature romance as the side-plot as opposed to the central conflict. He also has a fondness for protagonists that win out in the end thanks to their own charm and wit.

Osomatsu would raise: a rambunctious daughter

If there’s any one kid that’s always getting into trouble, it’s Osomatsu’s kid. Much like their father, she would wear her heart on her sleeve and be honest to a fault. She would take command of whatever group she’s a part of and make herself the self-appointed leader… regardless of whether or not that’s the wisest choice. In spite of the trouble that surrounds her, she would be a very genuine and very loving kid thanks to the endless amount of time she spends with her dad. Osomatsu would step up to the challenge and try his hardest to be the best dad possible. In spite of that, he’s still Osomatsu so an earnest attempt at helping his daughter with her homework would turn into an evening of pulling out old consoles and playing video games with her way past her bedtime. You’ve learned not to take things too seriously with Osomatsu and this reflects heavily in how both of you raise your daughter.

Karamatsu would raise: a spoiled daughter

Karamatsu has a hard time saying “no” to his brothers so what makes you think he would find this task any easier with his own daughter? Whatever daddy’s little girl wants, daddy’s little girl gets. His daughter would very much be a “one more” kid. One more candy, one more trip to the park, one more bedtime story, etc. In spite of the endless amount of doting from her father, Karamatsu’s daughter would wind up inheriting his highly empathetic (and dramatic) nature. She’s genuinely a good kid… but that doesn’t mean she’ll stop asking Karamatsu for EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, this means that you would need to be the firm hand in the family and put a stop to things before they get too out of hand. Karamatsu would understand and ultimately side with you, but he can’t help it if the most perfect, the most wonderful, the most beautiful little girl deserves everything in the world!

Choromatsu would raise: a diligent daughter

There’s a time and a place for everything and this rings true in Choromatsu’s household. Choromatsu would be the one keeping track of the schedules and writing out the week’s events in advance on a whiteboard he has placed in the kitchen. Both you and your daughter are used to this system but would try to ease Choromatsu into accepting some more spontaneity in his life. Ultimately this backfries since, according to him he’s had enough insanity to last him 6 lifetimes. In spite of wishing that her father would loosen up a bit, Choromatsu’s daughter would inevitably inherit some of these traits from him and wind up being more responsible (and serious) than her classmates. She’s a very good student with a natural talent for writing but you’re starting to grow a bit concerned over some of the subject matter in her stories…

Ichimatsu would raise: a snarky daughter

While not outspoken in the slightest, Ichimatsu can’t help but comment on bullshit whenever he sees it. Granted it’s a soft mumble most of the time but nevertheless. He tries to censor himself around his daughter since he doesn’t follow the same “honesty is the best policy” mantra like Osomatsu does but inevitably his smart-ass tendencies and dark sense of humor would rub off on his kid. This would wind up getting both you and Ichimatsu called into the school’s office to deal with your daughter’s smarmy comments and rebellious nature. It’s not like she sets out to get in trouble or is particularly loud. Like her father, she keeps to herself and spends most of her time reading about animals (she wants to be a vet someday!) It’s just that she calls out a lot of the nonsense she sees and refuses to take part in things like “busy work” and “physical education.” While Ichi would do his best to reprimand her, he can’t help but side with her most of the time. “But physical education IS bullshit,” Ichi whispers to you as you leave the school with daughter in tow.

Jyushimatsu would raise: a hyperactive daughter

If you think one Jyushi was bad just wait until you condense all of that stamina into one very small package. Jyushimatsu’s daughter would be a never-ending vessel of energy that’ll never slow down regardless of how many after-school sports you and Jyushi sign her up for. While she’s not particularly good at sports (like her father she’s pretty average), it’s her boundless energy and her sweet nature that more than makes up for it. Jyushimatsu would be an encouraging father that would go out of his way to not only support his daughter, but join her in these activities as well. Most evenings are spent outside with several brisk jogs and countless sessions of catch. Unfortunately for you, this means you’ll be dead on your feet and exhausted from the day’s activities while the both of them continue to chant in unison “HUSTLE HUSTLE! MUSCLE MUSCLE!”

Todomatsu would raise: a cunning daughter

Much like Karamatsu, Todomatsu would also spoil his daughter but nowhere near as extreme. Much like Totty, his daughter would put a heavy amount of emphasis onto her outward appearance and public persona so she would try to keep up with the latest fashions. Often times this means she will bat her eyelashes at Todomatsu and put on her cutest act in an attempt to get more allowance money out of him but he, being the master of this manipulative tactic, would seldom budge. It goes without saying that she can be a bit of a brat sometimes but this doesn’t take away from the fact that she is highly intelligent and VERY charismatic. There’s a reason why so many of her teachers and classmates love her! She is an absolute angel (if you’re not on her shit list that is.)

Osomatsu:

Oh he would be hella stoked! Of course at first he’d use the opportunity to try to get fresh with you and be his usual frisky self, but after a couple of friendly slaps he’d eventually calm down and allow himself to just enjoy the bath. In spite of how handsy he was earlier he really does love having these nice, chill moments with you since he enjoys being this close to you, both physically and emotionally. You two take turns washing each other’s backs as you just chat about whatever random subject comes to mind. Sometimes you both get real in your talks and other times you two manage to get into the stupidest debates.

Karamatsu:

He would be completely enamored and petrified by the idea. He has imagined you two in similar scenarios before (albeit with a lot more dramatic lighting and blossoms in the wind) so it’s not as if he’s wholly unprepared for this, but at the same time he loses all cool and becomes a loves-truck fool when the actual situation occurs. He tries bringing in candles and roses to “help with the mood” but you quickly throw that idea out since the stuff you provided is more than enough. This is for you two to relax. All the same though, he’s still his usual sweet, doting self and would offer to wash your hair for you as you talk about your day.

Choromatsu:

The idea of sharing a bath with you sounds like the opposite of a relaxing time! Don’t get him wrong, he loves everything about that idea, but he wouldn’t even know what to do with himself or what you would expect from something like this. Once you get him in the tub and let him relax for a bit, he actually gets quite comfortable with the situation and even allows himself to vent about a few things that have been bothering him. He tries not to look directly at you since he blushes incredibly easy and doesn’t want to risk making things awkward but you feel that in due time this’ll change.

Ichimatsu:

You know that old adage about cats and water? Well that’s basically what you have to deal with when it comes to dragging this boy into the tub with you. Of course it’s not the water he minds but being this close, this nude, this open with you. It’s almost too much for him. It takes an especially long time for him to settle down and stop being so antsy, but once he does he takes to just lying against your chest, in your arms. He tries to be sly about the whole ordeal and flirt with you about certain aspects of sharing a bath together, but this is all a means to mask how surprisingly nervous he is. Something like this can be a lot more intimate than he’s used to and he’s not sure if he’s ready to really “reveal” himself. These thoughts dissipate once you two are actually in the tub and are instead replaced with genuine affection for you. He lets you talk most of the time as he washes your hair but eventually he’ll feel comfortable enough to talk about his own thoughts and feelings. The bath is as relaxing for you as it is therapeutic for him.

Granted the context between your scars and his scars are inherently different, but he just wants you to know that he loves you for who you are just like how you love him for how he is, scars and all.

While a lot of the smaller nuances of being trans do elude him, he is surprisingly perceptive and can tell when your insecurities about the matter pop-up. Because of that, he’s super quick in being right there to assure you that it’s nothing to be ashamed of and shower you in affirmation and affection. Unfortunately this also means that he tends to over-react and thinks that ANYTHING involving your body puts your self-esteem at risk so even things like trying on clothing can be an awkward mess. But, this all comes from a place of genuine love and concern. He just wants you to love yourself even just 1/10th of the amount he loves you.

what do matsus do if they see someone flirting with their crush?

Osomatsu:

He trusts you without a doubt so initially he doesn’t do much of anything except glance at you every so often. However, the second the person has crossed a line and/or you’re clearly uncomfortable, he’d walk up to the both of you and nonchalantly wrap his arm around your waist. He introduces himself to the flirt and keeps his usual casual attitude (”Hey! What’s up? I’m [y/n]’s boyfriend.”) but you can’t help but notice how close he’s holding you.

Karamatsu:

While he knows you can handle yourself just fine, he can’t help but keep a watchful eye over you as the person flirts with you. He tries to reason to himself that it’s just something that happens (”[y/n] is so amazing, if anything I should expect more suitors at their feet!”) but all the same, he can’t help but feel uneasy about the situation. He winds up coming up with some silly excuse to intervene and be a part of the conversation himself. It’s not the smoothest move but hey, it works.

Choromatsu:

Although he has a great amount of confidence in you, the same can not be said for himself so he’s already slightly on edge when someone begins flirting with you. He knows he’s lacking a lot and he knows that someone else can give you more in a relationship than he currently can so he winds up psyching himself out from doing anything. He trusts you and that gives him comfort during this. Ultimately, he only ever intervenes and gets you out of that situation if your own personal safety/comfort gets compromised.

Ichimatsu:

He winds up at war with himself since on the one hand he doesn’t want to seem like some sort of gross control freak (especially when it comes to his significant other) but on the other hand he just couldn’t bear the thought of losing you to someone who he can’t compete with (at least according to him.) In spite of every part of his mind screaming at him not to, he winds up taking your hand and stands there beside you. He holds you tight and says nothing but makes it clear to the flirt that he’s not someone to fuck with.

Jyushimatsu:

Honestly, he doesn’t even notice that someone is flirting with you at first. He just thinks they’re being super nice to you and that’s great! However, when they start getting closer and touching different parts of you (slight touch on the shoulder, holding your hand, etc.) that’s…. not so great. He gets wary but keeps his distance, at least for now anyway. If at any point you flash Jyushimatsu a “please get me out of here” look he’s there right away and literally carries you right out of the conversation.

Todomatsu:

He likes to see himself as someone too confident and well put together to get jealous over simple flirting encounters. At least, this is what he keeps telling himself while he keeps his attention focused on you and the person so shamelessly flirting with you. The absolute nerve of the jerk! Eventually he can’t help it anymore and makes his way to you. He introduces himself as sweetly as possible, throwing in some snide comment about the flirt but acting like his usual “innocent” self.

in light of the pta matsu headcanons (which made my night tBQH) how would the matsus react to realizing they want to start a family with their s/o?

Osomatsu:

He’d be absolutely THRILLED about the idea but he would jump right to the actual making of the baby rather than, you know, preparing for them. He wants a big family since he actually enjoyed being a sextuplet (despite some of his qualms) and wants to just always be surrounded by loved ones. He wants his kids to never be left alone. All the same though, you’d really need to talk to him and get him to be serious about something for once in his life if you’re gonna go through with this.

Karamatsu:

The very idea that you want to spend the rest of your life with him is more than enough, but to have the fruition of your love for each other culminate in the form of a child is the highest honor he could ever dream of. After he’s done swooning over you, he’d get surprisingly real with you and insist on having only one or two kids. When you ask why, he states it’s because he knows what it’s like to be ignored in a big family. He doesn’t want any of his children to ever feel alone or looked over, he wants to give them his full attention no matter what.

Choromatsu:

Panic. Worry. Slightly less panic. And then genuine concern. He’s always seen himself as the only brother reasonable and responsible enough to be a father but when faced with the actual choice, he starts to rethink things. There’s a LOT that goes into raising a kid and it’s not something that he would want to take lightly. He’s seen the mistakes his parents made with him and his brothers and he doesn’t want a repeat of that. You’d REALLY need to walk through things with him in order for him to calm down and actually get excited about the idea.

Ichimatsu:

You’ve never seen true horror on the face of man until witnessing Ichimatsu’s reaction to your talk of wanting kids. He does everything he can to avoid talking about the subject but when he finally gives in he makes it abundantly clear that his lack of wanting kids is not because of you; it’s because of him. He claims that the only things he’s fit to take care of are cats, anything else is bound to get fucked up by his involvement. A child deserves a good parent who has their shit together and can function properly, someone the exact opposite of Ichimatsu. This is one Matsu that you’d REEEEALLY have to convince into having children.

Jyushimatsu:

The thought of having his own kids to play with is so fun and exciting that he’s already ready to go! Now now!! HUSTLE HUSTLE!! MUSCLE MUSCLE!!! It takes you two hours to reign him in. You get serious with him and really start to think this over. It’s not that Jyushimatsu wouldn’t make a good father, on the contrary, with his boundless energy, enthusiasm, and warm heart he’s going to be a great father. However, you worry how seriously he’s going to take this. This is a mature, adult decision and it would take a lot of talking over before he understands what’s at stake here and the new responsibilities at hand.

Todomatsu:

He drops his sly act for a second and give you a very genuine, very confused, “EHHH?” Kids are just about the last thing on Totty’s mind. After all, you’re both young and in love! Why rush things? He has a good amount of wanderlust in him and he wants to travel the world with you before even THINKING about having children. While the prospect of taking cute couple photos with your potential baby sounds like a lot of fun, it still sounds like way too much for him right now. Eventually he’ll come around to the idea when he feels like he’s ready to settle down but it’s gonna be a while.

prom Matsus headcanons! or a scenario! or just w/e info i'd love to read anything about this setup *w*

Well, they’re all sort of kind of too old for prom but I’ll juuuust leave that fact aside and go ahead and answer this anyway!

Osomatsu:

Definitely forgot to get you a corsage, a ride, and even an accurate time as to when he would pick you up. He manages to show up as soon as you step out of the shower so you force him to wait outside your door. You want to be mad at him, you really do, but his enthusiastic smile coupled with his sharp tux make it near impossible.

He wants to try out the whole “prom experience” but winds up getting bored the second he realizes that it’s mostly sitting around and talking. When he finds out that the punch bowl getting spiked is a thing only done in TV and movies he gets even MORE bored and disappointed. You decide that maybe dancing might entertain him but… he’s not a good dancer (and when you slow dance with him he tends to be a bit grabby.)

You both come to the conclusion that for all the hype and the expense, prom is pretty lame and not the best date option for either one of you. You both decide to go to the cheapest fast food place around and eat junk food while wearing your fanciest outfits.

Karamatsu:

Oh he absolutely LIVES for the prom experience and would go above and beyond what’s needed. He would get you the biggest, the sparkliest, and the…. gaudiest corsage even put forth by man. You spend the whole limo ride there debating on putting it on but he’s just so proud of it that you can’t say no.

He’s treating a small dance in a school gym as if it was a high-class ball held by some far off monarchy. You don’t mind playing the Cinderella to his Prince Charming since it is very sweet, but you’re also 100% sure that Prince Charming didn’t come with a suit that was literally sequins and glitter. However, in spite of how ridiculously flashy his outfit is, he does look really handsome tonight and he is just putting out all the stops on treating you like royalty.

The one thing he wants out of prom is to have his picture taken with you. When you part for the night, he asks if he could keep the picture. He would give you a copy of course. He just wants, according to his words, “to have the wonderful memory of such a magical evening to last beyond the fateful stroke of Midnight~” And so forth.

Choromatsu:

When he’s worried, he plans out scenarios. When he plans out scenarios, he makes a series of overly complicated notes that would detail a plan for any possibility no matter how ridiculous and far-fetched. Thus, you wind up greeting a very nervous date who managed to show up on time, right on the second.

The corsage and ride he managed to get for you are both very modest. You know how sensible he is (most of the time) so you expected as much. What you didn’t expect was the schedule. Oh, the schedule. As much as he promised Osomatsu that he would “chill” for once, he’s still himself and wants to make sure you do everything possible at prom. So, because of that, he keeps glancing back and forth between you and his little notebook filled with tonight’s itinerary.

It isn’t until the slow-dancing that you manage to calm him and allow him to finally unwind. When the first song is over you playfully tease him about how, according to the schedule, dancing time is over. This makes him realize what the true point of tonight was and throws away his small notepad of notes. (Which he goes to pick up later because, you know.)

Ichimatsu:

He’s already incredibly anxious and agitated when he picks you up from your place so you’re off to a roaring great start already. That said though, the corsage he gave you is actually really pretty, purple (of course) trimmed lace folded around like a flower with the faint scent of jasmine. You know he doesn’t express his emotions too much but the gift is so sweet, you can just feel the love and adoration he has for you.

Unfortunately the same can not be said about his actual feelings towards the prom itself. Within taking your first steps into the prom he has already made a beeline to the most secluded table available. You both sit around for a bit but it’s clear that he’s very uncomfortable right now and would rather be literally anywhere else.  You don’t even think about asking him to dance.

Instead, you ask him if he wants to get out of here. It’s then that he gives you the most sincere look of sheer relief you have ever seen on a person’s face. You ditch prom together and take a stroll through a park. He comments on how, walking around like this in the dead of night, you both look a pair of ghosts. He’s more than happy with this though, the idea of haunting a park with you sounds way funner than prom anyway.

Jyushimatsu:

The ideas he has about prom are… different to say the least. He wants you to have a good time but he wound up picking things that seemed the more “fun” rather than practical. For example, a simple limo would suffice but instead he decided that a rickshaw was clearly the superior choice. Of course he wants to be the one to pull it (not as if you were going to argue) but all the same.

Also instead of a corsage the boy outright bought you a baseball glove. “So that way we can play together!” And it’s strange no doubt, but the custom embroidery on the side is really nice and thoughtful so you decide to keep it. Whether or not you’ve decided to actually wear it to prom is a different story.

Someone as high-energy as him can dance all night and sure enough he tears it up on the dance floor, taking you along with him. He does manage to tire out a bit and allow you guys to share some nice, slow dancing. However, the one who really gets tired out here is you. That’s fine though, because when you’re all tuckered out from a night of fun Jyushimatsu is there to carry you back home.

Todomatsu:

He has been low-key planning his prom night for the duration of his high school experience. Going to prom sounded just great on it’s own, but having you as his date made it better than he could imagine. However, he doesn’t go overboard with his plans and instead opts for the “stylishly simple” approach.

So of course the corsage he gets you is super pretty. It’s smaller than most but it’s delicate petals more than make up for it. It’s actually really suiting when you think about it. When you both arrive to prom you’re already greeted by various friends commenting on how cute you both look together. Because, as much of a date as this is, prom is still very much a social event. You share a table with friends and spend most of the night chatting amongst yourselves.

You finally manage to get Totty to yourself when the slow dancing starts. He kisses your hand and tells you how much fun he’s having tonight. Sure, talking with friends is nice, but spending this quiet moment with you under the soft glow of the lights is all that he could ever want. You both dance as long as possible, just gently swaying and holding each other. Afterwards you two don’t head home right away. You both find yourselves at a small cafe where you spend the remainder of the night chatting away in the comfort of each others company.

Matsu PTA dads headcanons plz?

Osomatsu:

It takes an effort and a half to convince him to attend and when he can finally be assed to go, he’s a bit of a handful to say the least. He’s very vocal about his boredom and pretty blunt with his opinions despite how indifferent he is about the whole school business. Of course the second any parent there gets snarky about his own kid he has his sleeves rolled up and is ready to fight. He doesn’t ever hit anyone, but the stuff this boy says could curdle milk. Needless to say he has to be dragged out of most PTA meetings. “AND ALSO, YOUR BROWNIES TASTE LIKE ASS, HELEN.”

Karamatsu:

Oh he absolutely relishes in the PTA life and most of the parents there just eat him up. He always goes out of his way to bring baked goods or something nice to the meetings since he’s just a natural people pleaser (and this also helps the meetings run smoother/quicker.) Unfortunately, because of his generous nature he tends to volunteer for more things than he really should. Some of the parents abuse this and force the worst duties on him. You wind up having to stand up for him since he just can’t say no to those people.

Choromatsu:

He takes to PTA meetings pretty well. While he doesn’t care for the gossipers or those obviously forced to be here, he does love looking over the schedules and addressing some actual problems. Out of all the brothers, he’s the one that actually manages to get shit done at these meetings. Sometimes he gets a bit too wrapped up in the PTA and would ask for more meetings throughout the week than humanly possible, but really he’s just doing it because he feels this is a direct way to effect his child’s life in a positive way.

Ichimatsu:

He hates meetings. He hates other parents. He hates everything the PTA stands for and more. Why are you doing this to him? Well, at any rate, while he spends most of his time quietly brooding in one corner, he will pipe up once or twice a meeting to take a hard stance on something that actively affects his kid. Usually these changes go without question (since no one really wants to argue with Ichimatsu) but there have been a handful of incidents where someone will try to fight him on something. You never quite figure out what happens. All you know is that it results in monthly bans from the PTA .

Jyushimatsu:

He tries his best to participate and do what he can, he really does, but oh my god are these meetings so long and boring. The amount of pressure in the room makes him more restless than usual and all of the dull arguing over mundane subjects nearly drive him mad. He winds up getting impatient and tries to take the reins on the meeting only for him to just, mess things up and make them more disorganized than before. The PTA winds up giving him physical jobs to do (i.e. manage the kid’s after school stuff) and everyone vastly prefers this.

Todomatsu:

PTA meetings as a whole bore him. Now, the gossiping parents? That’s more his crowd. He loves just chatting with the fellow parents and divulging in the various rumors floating around the school. He’s incredibly charming so naturally most parents wind up spilling some juicy secrets over to him. Due to his popularity, sometimes another parent will get jealous and try to spread some nasty lie about him. He brushes that off but oh, the second it becomes about his kid THAT’S when the other side of Totty rears it’s ugly head. He’s sneaky, vindictive, and he gets shit done. “Look who I saw the other day! Oh, wait a minute, Margaret, that doesn’t look like your husband. Who could this handsome fellow be huh? :3c Huh, Margaret?”

Osomatsu:

He gets the absolute biggest kick out of your texts. It’s gotten to the point where he would begin rating the animals for you. “That’s a pretty good puppo but yesterday’s was wearing a sweater 9/10″ “That cat’s a stone-cold player LOL 10/10″ “AWWW DUDE IT’S A DUCK 20/10″ You know, stuff like that. This little back and forth between the both of you even boils over to when you two are actually hanging out. That’s fine though, you find that you really love pointing out random animals to him just for him to rate and give his own comments about. It’s a favored activity.

Karamatsu:

Almost every single time he finds SOME WAY to relate the picture back to you somehow. “Ah yes, only a puppo as cute as that would be befitting for someone of your exquisite tastes~” and so forth. Of course he takes some time to understand some of the slang you use in relation to the animals, but he eventually gets used to it since he feels that’s a way to get closer to you. He drops in some of these terms in his literal wall of text. Unfortunately, because of this it takes him a millennia to respond to your messages so you try to only send him an animal pic once or twice a day.

Choromatsu:

His reactions tend to be a bit more subdued but honestly it’s because he’s not quite sure if you’re playing a game or just messing with him. In time though he would come to find that your enthusiasm is genuine and pretty darn cute. He would try to take some good shots for you but he proves to be rather unsuccessful at taking animal pics that aren’t out of focus or doing anything particularly photo-worthy. Still though, he perseveres and keeps trying for you. He winds up sending you some of his better attempts and, while they’re usually not good, the sincerity in his efforts is still really sweet.

Ichimatsu:

Oh without a doubt he adores all the pics you send him and it easily becomes one of his favorite things about you because 1) he just loves looking at cute animals and 2) it makes him feel warm and happy inside to know that you’re thinking about him this much. He doesn’t really respond to your texts with words or emojis but rather with animal pics of his own, specifically cat pictures. Lord knows he has hundreds on his phone and a nearly endless supply of cute cats around to pose for the camera. He winds up saving all the pics you send to him since the thought of them (and you) cheer him up immensely whenever he’s feeling down.

Jyushimatsu:

He either takes a while to respond to texts or he responds within seconds. There is no in between with him. You realize that this has more to do with him getting distracted, leaving his phone at home, playing baseball, etc. and less to do with him just not wanting to respond. That being said though, he almost ALWAYS comments on every picture you send him with the utmost enthusiasm. “!!WOW!!! What a good puppy!!! The Tell they I said hi!!!!!” The sleeves over his hands causes his texts to be littered with typos but you understand the message perfectly. He would use emojis ad nauseum if he wasn’t too eager to send the message RIGHT AWAY !!

Todomatsu:

He is the only brother ever consistent with his messages and replies to you in a timely matter. Of course this is because he forces himself to wait a bit. He doesn’t want to seem TOO eager, but he also doesn’t want to seem TOO distant. You gotta find a balance to these things and Totty obsesses over this image of him that he wants to get across. Still though, he does find your messages really adorable and responds to each one like “That’s a cutie! 🐶🌸“  Over time he winds up sending you animal pics himself just to get a similar reaction from you (although he’s sneaky about this and just winds up downloading them off his browser.)

Osomatsu:

When he first walks in, he stands by the doorway and just watches you, the usually cocky smirk on his face turning into a soft, genuine smile. When he sees how flustered you are he’d shake his head and go, “No, it’s fine! Don’t worry about it!” He’d flash you his trademark goofy grin (however there is a slight blush to his cheeks.) He can’t help it though. He LOVED everything about that moment and insists on you wearing his hoodie. In fact, there’s a good chance he’d let you keep because 1) he adores the way you look in it and 2) if his brothers ask about it he can brag about the situation.

Karamatsu:

Oh this poor boy would be driven to near tears just by how happy the sight of you snuggling in his hoodie makes him. When he notices how embarrassed you are about being seen like this, he would go up to you and reassure you that it’s nothing to be ashamed about (although he would do a poor job of this since he himself is quite flustered and thus would be unable to formulate even a proper sentence.) He tries so badly to spew one of his usual long-winded speeches but it all comes out as babbled nonsense. Eventually he gives up on that and simply asks you to keep it on. Please. After all, blue does look really good on you.

Choromatsu:

The second he notices you in his hoodie he tries to hide out of your line of sight because this is the last thing he wants to interrupt. Unfortunately you notice him and then things go from really cute to incredibly awkward. He wants so badly to have you keep his hoodie on and to keep doing what you were doing but he just can’t find the right words. He also doesn’t want to further embarrass you so he drops the subject almost right away. However, from then on he starts to leave his hoodie lying around more often, hoping that he can catch you wearing it again.

Ichimatsu:

If out of nowhere he were to die just right then and there he would have no regrets in this life after witnessing the sight of you in his hoodie. He’d be absolutely transfixed on you and would try to watch as quietly as possible, his cat ears popping out from the careful focus he has on you. Eventually, you’d spot him out of the corner of your eye but when you try to apologize he’d simply shake his head and make his way towards you. He would then brush a few cat hairs off your sleeves before quietly murmuring, “Keep it.” It’s only when you’re out of sight does he allow himself to blush fully and freak out over how incredible that moment was.

Jyushimatsu:

You hardly have the time to get super worried and/or flustered because within seconds Jyushimatsu has his arms around you and has picked you up in the warmest (and tightest!) hug possible. His laughter is positively infectious and you find yourself laughing alongside with him as he sets you down and tells you how good you look in his hoodie. When you try to apologize and give it back, he shakes his head vigorously. He leans over and gently grabs the ends of the sleeves, tugging them forward and over your hands. “There! That’s the right way to wear it!”

Todomatsu:

Almost immediately he has his phone pulled out and takes a few shots of you wearing his hoodie. He doesn’t feel 100% right doing this but oh my gosh how could he NOT want to keep some memory of this? That being said, when you spot him he tucks his phone away and lightly teases you over how cute you looked just then. He knows you’re a bit flustered but honestly? That just adds to the situation and he loves seeing you blush like that. All mild teasing aside though, he does take the time to tell you how adorable you are and how much pink suits you. Perhaps this is a color you should wear more often?

He already knew he liked you. Hell, he figured that he more than liked you but he’s not sure and he likes you too much to not want to wang up this situation. He finds himself even more confused when he notices how much his own behavior has changed and just how often you spring into his mind. Ultimately it takes his mom pointing out how helpful he’s been around the house for him to realize that it’s all because of your influence. All it takes is a “So, do you love them?” for him to think about it and immediately go, “Yeah… Yeah! I do!”

Karamatsu:

For as much as he acts like a man constantly in love, it does take him some time to quietly assess the situation and his own feelings. It’s not that he doubts you or anything of the sort, on the contrary he trusts you a great deal, but rather he’s unsure of how to be honest with his own emotions. He doesn’t want to go into a relationship under false pretenses but it is when you finally get to see the “real” him and accept him for who he is that any self-doubt dissipates. Once he’s sure, he’s falls absolutely, completely in love with you. It’s super apparent once he gets that confidence boost.

Choromatsu:

He doesn’t really notice all the little changes taking place when you two interact together. He was always courteous around you but he finds himself going out of his way to do things for you, to look out for you. The feelings are there but he isn’t quite aware of them, at least no immediately. It’s only until he puts off paying for a Nyaa-Chan concert in favor of having a lunch date with you that he realizes just what he’s doing. These feelings resonate even harder when he realizes that… there’s really nothing more that he’d like to do than just to spend the day with you.

Ichimatsu:

He figures you’re only seeking out companionship from him so he’s never really thought about you in a romantic way. After all, he considers himself lucky enough that someone like you would even want to hang around with trash like him. That being said though, he still constantly finds himself thinking about you like, almost non-stop. Every little thing reminds him of you in some way and that makes him flash these small, soft smiles throughout the day. It takes Jyushimatsu pointing this out and asking him about it that he’s forced to confront his own feelings.

Jyushimatsu:

Surprisingly enough it takes him quite a while to realize he’s in love with you. More than anything he enjoys spending time with you and doesn’t really think about any else so his feelings develop naturally. Of course he isn’t completely oblivious so when his own behavior changes and he catches himself staring at you quite often, he then realizes that maybe he sees you as more than just a close friend. He doesn’t push on this buuuut you do notice how much tighter he grips your hand and grins in your direction.

Todomatsu:

As someone who tries to have a social strategy for everything that he does, he finds himself in a bit of a dilemma when it comes to you. You’re his closest friend and that feels more “natural” to him than trying to force a relationship like he has tried with his co-workers. He doesn’t pursue anything but he himself is unaware of just how often he keeps you in mind whenever he goes out. It’s only until you point out that this is the 3rd time this week that he’s bought someone for you because it reminded him of you that he realizes he may have a small problem…
