We're supposed to be strong and vulnerable. In-tune and stoic Self-effacing and bull-headed Suave and simple Chiseled and sit behind a desk.

This isn't a well-formed thought, but it bothers me that I'm supposed to be a contradiction, am supposed to both exude self-love and hate who I represent. We should provide while expecting less than nothing, to expect to be expected ever more of.

Every conversation's a shit test, a game to see how long we'll be that granite statue to hang the world's fears and insecurities and pain and loneliness and inadequacy and sucking, vacuous need.

I find it no wonder in decades and centuries past, that we needed our time away, needed to adventure in far parts of the untamed globe, ran off to wars or ran off to sit on the porch with a beer and our friends.

What the hell are we doing here? If not here, where do we belong? Because we really, honestly don't fit where we're expected to. The world expects slivers and shades of us, demanding that we obscure our varied dimensions when they're not convenient.

It is not emotional masturbation or an inability to understand our role in a modern, post-industrial world. We haven't forgotten how to sire our children, how to dedicate to and love our complements.

But, the homepage doesn't actually talk about the charges, just gives a history of his service and his dedication to the Corps. Seems like the site is an opportunity to address why the charges are wrong or unfounded.

I'd appreciate the site having some sort of reference as to why the USMC stated they would charge him with all of that, seems like they threw the book at him. Damn scary I've gotta imagine, knowing you're doing the right thing in the moment and having someone armchair quarterback it from the NMCC.
