Getting in touch with simple things in life.
Bawi na lang sa next life. :/
Please look at the speech that was read yesterday by the Pope.
Regardless of religion, see how Pope Francis has beautifully written about the family.
FAMILY, PLACE OF FORGIVENESS ...
©️ There is no perfect family.
©️ We do not have perfect parents,
- you are not perfect yourself.
We do not marry a perfect person or we do not have perfect children.
©️ We have complaints from each other. We can not live together without offending one another.
©️ We are constantly disappointed. Yes for so many reasons at different times we are disappointed by one another.
©️ There is no healthy marriage or healthy family without the exercise of forgiveness. Forgiveness is the medicine of family joy and happiness
©️ Forgiveness is vital to our emotional health and spiritual survival. No matter the offence or who is the offender. Without forgiveness, the family becomes an arena of conflict and a fortress of evil.
©️ Without forgiveness, the family becomes sick and unhealthy.
©️ Forgiveness is the asepsis of the soul, the purification of the spirit and the liberation of the heart. No sin is too big to be forgiven.
He who does not forgive does not have peace in his soul and can not have communion with God.
©️ Unforgiving is Evil and a poison that intoxicates and kills the one who refuses to forgive
©️ Keeping heartache of unforgiving in your heart is a self-destructive gesture. It's autophagy.
©️ Those who do not forgive are physically, emotionally and spiritually ill. And they will suffer in two ways
For this reason, the family must be a place of life and not a place of death; a place of forgiveness,
a place of paradise and not a place of hell; A healing territory and not a disease;
an internship of forgiveness and not guilt.
Forgiveness brings joy where sorrow has brought sadness; of
Healing where sorrow has caused disease.
A family is a place of support and not of gossip and slander of one another. It must be a place of welcome not a place of rejection. Shame to those who plant evil about others. We are family and not enemies.
When anyone is going through a challenge all they need is support.

Please send to all the families you know. This could help healing some family and friends wounds and settle some battles…
In my 43 years of existence, my family has been through ups and downs.
We started as a simple Filipino family. My father was working in a prominent company while my mother was helping him get through the family’s expenses.
Me and my 2nd sister grew up in a very simple household.
I would remember when we would have fried chicken for dinner, I would eat up all my rice so that I can eat my chicken legs like in the commercials (we don’t have the financial liberty of buying “Jollibee” that time)
Or sometimes, when our neighbor (whose also our relative) will have a take-out of burger, me and my sister would peek in their window, watching them eat. Then our tito would see us and split the burger of her daughter with us… and yet we are thankful and happy sharing half of the burger. (Thanks tito and ate hehe)
Then came the time when our bunso (youngest) sister arrived as well as our little business.
That time, we can splurge a little and buy whatever we want.
I remember how my parents would help out our needy relatives and that made a great impact in my perspective in life.
Little did we know that some people were taking advantage of the kindness of my parents.
(I don’t want to elaborate on this)
Then came a time when we learned we have nothing. All our assets were liquidated and had to use up all the money to pay up our debts.
Yes, all our hard earned money seemed to have flown into the air. 😢
Blessed with family and friends who are helping us, we are coping.
And despite all these, God never abandoned us. We are all alive and healthy.
Lesson in life is, nothing is permanent. Even if you do good to others and keep holy, trials will find you. That’s why it’s important to make your faith as high and as wide as the mountains. For only God can make everything alright. One more thing, pray for the people who are always present in your life especially the ones who are there during the lowest moments. May God bless and keep them under His wings.
Eternal, only God is eternal. Fear of the unknown is one of the causes of anxiety. Believe in this for comfort and inner peace.
While attending an online mass, this Greek word was taught by the priest.
My husband then faced me and said, “Awwww that’s you. You give yourself to us.”
Emptying yourself. That’s what you do naturally for your loved ones. Why? Because LOVE.
“Me Time” - for the longest time, there is a battle inside my head if spouses should have a “me time”
Napaso na ako sa “me time” na yan.
May mga kakilala ako na “me time” DAW pero sila magka-chat.
Meron din naman “me time” pero may kasama umalis.
“Me time” - as per Oxford dictionary means relaxing on ONE’s Own. ME nga eh. E bakit may kasama kung ME nga. Tanga lang? Excuse lang kasi yang “me time” na yan para makapag landi.
Actually, if I were to ask, pag may asawa ka na dapat wala ng “me time” kasi you MUST or SHOULD or NEED or WANT to spend all your milli seconds with your wife or husband. Kapag dumating ang time na naghahanap ka na ng “me time”, ibig sabihin NAGSASAWA KA na sa buhay mo.
Simple and direct. Sa mag asawa, no gray areas. Black or White… Yes or No… Love or Hate.
Period.
I found out that a known action star is running for senate.
If I were to be asked, I think it’s shooting for the stars.
But then again, here in our country, if you are popular… you CAN win.
I ordered their classic milk tea (I always get the basic/ classic/ best seller on the first visits) and added a Dalgona Coffee ☕️
I was not disappointed at all!
I love how fast their service is and how the tiger “spewed” my order. 🤣
My kiddo is attending his online class without me. :( It is because I have to work.
Isn’t this one of the heartbreaking moments to a parent, when you just have to wait to be updated of what is happening in his school?
Do you feel the same, moms and dads out there?
😕😕😕
This pandemic makes us appreciate the little things in life. I was able to visit Dear Joe at Nomo in Cavite, Ph.
What a lavish ambiance. So aesthetic.
Too bad I can’t dine in for the moment since they only offer alfresco dining.
What’s good is it’s near and not to crowded.
I will definitely go back! ☕️
MY INTRO
I'm the eldest in the family. My siblings would refer to me as an "ate" (older sister). I had a very regular childhood. Living in the 80's, having fun playing outside with friends and cousins. Asking money from a "Lola" (Grandmother) who’s playing cards with her amigas. Buying #Coke for one peso. Eating "papula" (Cherry balls bubble gum). Riding a bike which I rented for 5 pesos per 15 minutes. Everything was easy, delightful, and happy… and SIMPLE!
I would remember asking my parents for a "pop swatch" on my birthday (since most of my friends have it) I’ve exerted so much effort being good. I ran errands for my mom. Do the chores. I have done my assignment on time. I woke up early for school with some minutes to spare. But when birthday came, there's no Pop Swatch. What I got is a regular small watch. I didn't complain for I know my dad has been working his fingers to the bone as well as my mom. I thanked them and was happy with it. (Although deep inside I still want the Pop Swatch)
We transferred south and our lives changed. Dad still working but my mom luckily opened up a small business that became our bread and butter. I could say our lives upgraded a little. But unfortunately, our business went down the drain.
Now, we are starting our lives back to zero. With the help of God we are coping.
I have so many things to share that’s why I started this blog. 😍
