Missed You //Matt & Noah

âI bet. Youâll feel better once people get their hands on it and love it.â He knew of course that the book would be amazing, but of course that didnât change how daunting it had to be for his friend to go in this new direction. He shrugged and shook his head. âI donât know. I mean I know they had.. have.. had⊠fuck I donât know. They have chemistry. Just sometimes itâs kind of hate chemistry that I think they mix up with sex chemistry and then they had a kid who is awesome and that made them think it could be love chemistry, but really they just both love their kid.â He frowned. âDonât tell either of them I said any of that. Itâs kind of not my business and like I said I try to stay out of Loganâs way the best I can.â Looking into Mattâs eyes and seeing the concern there made his heart sink into his stomach. He could lie to anyone else, but not him. âYeah⊠yeah, saw him yesterday. It was⊠Heâs not good Matt.âÂ
âAs long as I can avoid all of the more critical reviews until Iâve read at least a hundred praising me, I should be fine,â Matt joked. He trusted his agent and his publisher and knew that they would never let something go to print if it werenât up to his usual standards, but it was still nerve-wracking to send off something so different. âHonestly? That sounds exhausting, and not just for the two of them. And itâs your business insofar as it impacts your day-to-day life. I assume JB is already aware of how everything is affecting you.â He slowed to a standstill and wrapped his arm around his friendâs shoulder in a half-hug. âHow can I help?â he asked. âOut of everywhere he could be, the Evans House is one of the best possible options, but... would money help? Anything you need, itâs yours. Just say the word.â
