While in Julian we stayed at @pinecrestretreat where we enjoyed the vintage trailers and park amenities. Had to drive up to Flagstaff to pick up kids from their mom. So, we made a day of it. Riding in the morning. Hiking in the afternoon to a small waterfall area. Hot Saturday night in Downtown Scottsdale. We went for Bario Queen (hour wait!) but ended up at the Drunk Munk tiki restaurant and were not impressed. Atmosphere was great but the food was overpriced and just not that good. We followed up with a little old school at Scottsdale Comedy Club for some fun and chuckles. The best part was the company who has fun no matter what happens or where we go. The family that owns the building my shop is in, found an abandoned puppy and called me to ask if I could help find a home for this little ready bear. I’m happy to report we have found a great home for him. There are certain items from our youth that instantly throw us back to those short but carefree years. The #skatebike is one of those items for me. Feeling anxious and frustrated today I decided I needed to get out and ride. I’m so glad I did as I was able to see and capture some of the most remarkable flowering I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing since living in AZ. Spring always flowers but not with the intensity of this year. It brings a beauty to an otherwise dull and drab landscape. This afternoon we had an amazing time at #cycloviatucson. The city shuts down 3 miles of streets to all traffic and open them up for bikes and pedestrians.
