Stupod people who try to justify why Zuko don't have his scar in the movie... Obviously, spouting nothing but nonsense.
Even if we believe Zuko redirected all the lightning, which is false, because we literally see the electricity still circulating around his body plus the literal script saying he failed to redirect it… the lightning still passed through his heart because he was not grounded when he caught it due to, you know, throwing himself at it in reckless abandon, without a care for anything except making sure Katara was protected. We’re literally explicitly told that if you are not grounded and/or the lightning passes through your heart, you will die. The fact that he held on for as long as he did is a testament to his strength and desperation to, again, protect Katara.
