Finally, I can tell you about my Tav, Sylvia, whom I created almost a year ago. I know, I should do this earlier, but I couldn't force myself to do it, because I'm a very lazy haha. Anyways, let’s talk about Sylvia and only Sylvia.
Sylvia Amarië, 26 y.o, storm sorcerer
Bio: Her full name is Sylvia Amarië. She is a high elf, an aristocrat, who was born in Baldur’s Gate. Her parents are also aristocrats. She is the only daughter in the family, so her father has always tried to raise Sylvia so that she knows what fate awaits her. She had to marry someone of convenience, someone her father would choose for her. However, Sylvia was always against it. Therefore, there were quarrels between her and Arkiloon, her father. Her mother never interfered in their quarrels. When Sylvia was a little girl, it turned out that she is a sorcerer. She learned magic easily. From birth, the power of magic was in her. And then she became a storm sorcerer. Of course, this didn't happen immediately. As a child, she could barely control her power and once almost burned down her father's office. After that, her father decided that she should be sent to the Academy of magic.
Character: I think it is better, if her best friend and her beloved describe her, so let's see what Shadowheart and Astarion will say about her.
Shadowheart will describe Sylvia like this, "Self-confident, single-minded, strong sorcerer, a little arrogant, but, on the whole, pleasant character. She has a great sense of humor. She is also very attractive, so it is not surprising that both Astarion and Gale have their eyes on her at the same time. Sylvia keeps secrets well, and you can trust her. I will be indebted to her for the rest of my life, because she saved my life more than once and helped bring my parents back."
Astarion will say about Sylvia like this, "My darling is the most beautiful in the whole wide world. I admire not only her beauty, but also her strength. She's single-minded and so tenacious. Sometimes her stubbornness infuriates, and her naivety amuses. She can be incredibly arrogant at times. Sometimes she's shy and doesn't agree on something, but she's sincere and so gentle with me. I don't know what I've done to deserve her, but she is the best thing in the whole world for me."
Before BG3: At the Academy of magic Sylvia met her first love, the half-elf Taron. However, as soon as her father found out about their relationship, he intimidated Taron, and he broke off relations with Sylvia. Sylvia was very angry with her father.
There was no other relationship in Sylvia's life. She graduated from the Academy of Magic with honors, and then returned home to Baldur's Gate. She had been living in her parents' house for almost a year, and every day she thought more and more about the need to escape. She didn't want to live the life her parents had offered to her. On the day when she was about to escape, Sylvia went to the magic shop to buy a new staff. After she bought new supplies, the city was attacked by a Nautiloid. Events BG3: Once in the vicinity of the Emerald Grove, Sylvia was very scared. At first, she didn't know what to do, but after teaming up with Shadowheart, she calmed down a bit. When they met Astarion, it could be said that Sylvia fell in love with him at first sight. And during the first days of the trip, she often stared at him at the camp and thought about how to get closer to him. Astarion didn't lose sight of this and decided to take advantage of her naivety. But if Astarion wanted to use her for his own purposes first, then Gale, for example, immediately noticed Sylvia as an attractive elf. Gale wanted to get close to her too. Therefore, there was tension between Astarion and Gale throughout the journey because of Sylvia. However, Sylvia already knew for sure that she would only get close to Astarion. She was thrilled when Astarion started responding to her and invited her to spend the night together after the Tiefling party. She thought they would have a relationship after that.
In the squad, Sylvia became friends with Shadowheart the fastest. They found a common language. Sylvia was a little afraid of Lae'zel and stayed away from her. Wyll seemed to Sylvia like a fairy-tale prince and uninteresting, so they communicated with each other coolly, but in a friendly way. Sylvia often played cards with Karlach in the evenings. With Gale, Sylvia often cast spells and learned new spells, which were very easy for her, which annoyed Gale. Sylvia and Astarion often talked about everything. She also sat with him in the evenings and drew in her sketchbook. Astarion just loved watching her while drinking wine. When they returned to Baldur's Gate, her parents found out about it. Sylvia had to visit her home with Astarion, Gale, and Shadowheart. Dinner was very intense. Arkiloon decided that his daughter was in a relationship with Gale. It was made Astarion and Sylvia laugh.
Sylvia persuaded Astarion not to ascend. He interrupted the ritual of the Black Mass and remained a vampire spawn. Sylvia helped Shadowheart save her parents. She also helped Wyll save his father. She killed Raphael and stole the hammer to help Lae'zel. Unfortunately, she was unable to save Karlach, and Karlach had to become an illithid. Sylvia persuaded Gale not to restore the crown of Karsus.
The squad coped with the Elder Brain and held a celebration. After the celebration, Sylvia told Astarion that she wanted to find him protection from the sun, which meant that they would leave Baldur's Gate together. However, she received a letter from her parents in which her father suggested that she stay at home for a while. Astarion went with her. They lived with her parents for about two months. Sylvia's father had to accept the fact that she would not live according to his orders. Moreover, he saw how Astarion literally worships Sylvia and will do everything to make her happy.
After BG3: For about 10 years, Astarion and Sylvia traveled around the world together in search of an artifact to protect him from the sun. They quarreled at times. At one point, Sylvia was ready to turn to the devils to make a deal, to which Astarion said that she was crazy. At that moment, their relationship was in crisis. But everything worked out. As a result, they managed to find a recipe for a ring of resistance from the sun in the Underdark. There they also found a recipe for a ring that could grant immortality. They searched for the right ingredients for a long time, but in the end they managed to find everything and forge the rings. From now on, Astarion could no longer be afraid of the sun, and Sylvia could always be with him and not grow old.
Sylvia and Astarion settled in Neverwinter. Sylvia graduated from another magic academy. She painted portraits to order. Astarion opened his atelier, doing what he loved. They are so happy together.
Sylvia never thought that her life would turn out this way, but she is very happy. She feels like she belongs next to Astarion.
