Have you experienced a sweet potato this cheesy and meaty? 🥩 🧀 (Mukbang + Recipe)

RECIPE

Ingredients:

Sweet potato

½ Garlic, minced

1 Onion, minced

½ Bell pepper, finely chopped

Jalapeños, chopped

Fresh coriander, chopped

Beef

Black pepper

Paprika

A bit of Soy sauce

A bit of Oyster sauce

A bit of olive oil

Cheddar cheese + mozarella, shredded

Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions:

1. Air fry sweet potatoes for 30 minutes until tender.

2. Mince garlic and onion, chop bell pepper, jalapeños, and coriander.

3. Add beef, black pepper, and paprika. Cook until browned.

4. Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.

5. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, bell pepper, jalapeños, and coriander. Cook for a couple of minutes until you think it's fully cooked.

6. Slice the sweet potatoes halfway through, just enough to open the center. Fill the middle with the beef mixture on the air fried sweet potatoes.

7. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella on top.

8. Air fry for 10 minutes until cheese is melted.

Lore Of The Wilds - Analeigh Sbrana

This book was magical. The story is enticing and has you questioning what the next turn could possibly be. There's a plot twist at the end that had me gasping and eager to read the next book!

Im lucky enough to have the fairyloot edition of this book, and the character art is phenomenal, the characters are beautiful, as is the story.

Lore of the Tides is currently on route and i cannot wait to see what happens with Lore next.

"The Expectant Detectives" by Kat Ailes. Summary: Alice and Joe just moved to the quiet town of penton in the Cotswold Hills; alice describes it as "posh hippy," to start a new life in a safer place compared to the high crime rate of london, as they are to-be-parents. On their first day, they decided to join an antenatal class to prepare themselves for their baby and also to make friends (at least Alice did). everything was fine and dandy until the owner of the shop, where their prenatal classes were taking place, was found dead during one of the sessions (spoiler: *while one of the women was giving birth), and suddenly they were suspects in a murder investigation. Alice sets out to find clues as to who is the killer while struggling to adapt to a new city, make friends, and try to figure out how her boyfriend feels about all of this (as in the baby and the new move) and why & what he is hiding from her.

Thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this book; I won't lie, it was a bit slow in the beginning before the actual murder took place, but it was insanely hilarious once we got into the murder. I really liked how realistic it felt from Alice's point of view, her struggling to make friends with the rest of the expectant mothers and being socially inept (sooo me!!!), but I personally think they liked her and she was just overthinking it. I especially loved how she and one of her new friends decided to become amateur detectives on a whim (not really) because they were bored and had nothing to do (maternity leave and also not the whole reason 😉). It was a bit frustrating watching the detective and how she treated the suspects (I mean, everyone knows it's innocent until proven guilty, but not with her; it's the opposite!). My favorite character had to be Ailsa; she was honestly a breath of fresh air for me. She might have had her problems, but I can relate to her. Her sarcasm and bluntness made me like her a lot more than I thought I would (I usually get intimidated by those kinds of people). Overall, I absolutely loved it and totally recommend this for someone who is just getting into murder mysteries.

Help me make a big wall of positivity

Ever since my mom passed away, I've been stuck in a perpetual state of depression if I'm being quite honest. The depression and grief has been compounded by the fact that I can't find a job and my rent is way too high for me to afford. I'm about to be evicted in 4 days if I don't raise the funds, but I'm trying to remain positive.

I had an idea - as long as I'm not evicted - that I thought would be cool to try. I am wondering, if you see this, could you send me a short positive message into my askbox? I'm going to cover at least one wall of my bedroom with the asks sent in order to remind myself I'm cared for. This probably won't go anywhere but the couple asks I do get will be cherished.
