Font Sculpture
Letter M:
For the first font sculpture, I chose the letter M. I used the “Make Envelope” tool on the top right of the Illustrator app to make it look curvy. To do that, I chose the option “Wave” and adjusted the shape of the letter both horizontally and vertically. To make it look like a wave, I pointed out some angles of the letter, from the center and from the top corners. Then, I picked the font size big enough and copy pasted the M a couple of times. After that, I rotated some letters upside down that looks like W and finished the pattern.
Letter K:
For the second font sculpture, I chose the letter K. I copy pasted letter K many times and just placed each letter to make a big letter K. I used the align tool to perfectly align the letters straight to each other. Then, I inverted them and make it look like the opposite.
Letter V:
For the third font sculpture, I chose the letter V. I chose bright colors blue and pink to make the pattern pop out. I copy pasted many times and chose two colors from the color tool. Then, I placed all of the V's facing outwards to make the shape of hexagon in the center and to make it look like a flower from the top. I used six V’s for each flower shape. I repeated these same steps eight times. Finally, I enlarged the letters so that it fits the page and used the align tool to straighten up the letter V and make it look more symmetrical.
Letter L:
For the last font sculpture, I chose the letter L. I tried to make the gradient lines. To do that, I chose four types of green color. I picked green color because it gives a nice bright look to the pattern. Then, I arranged them from the darkest to lightest which helped me create a gradient effect and a 3d effect. I copy pasted the letter L for each color many times and started making lines by placing the darkest colour first to the lightest.
