My profile picture is a really cinematic photo I took of Devon Corp while I was visiting Rustboro City. I don’t usually do photography though. This has changed, I’m falling down the raboothole. Found the banner image online somewhere.

*I couldn’t find a post to link to for Mystery gifts, so here’s the explanation: it’s like Pelipper Mail except that instead of it being physically sent, it’s converted into a digital thing in the same way Pokémon are when you put them in the PC. This way you can send Maxen gifts without him needing to give his address! OOC Intro! Ello! If you couldn’t already tell, this is a roleplay blog set in the Pokémon universe. Specifically, I keep this based on the anime and the games, and less on logical real-world interpretations as is admittedly more common (though I can adjust when interacting with other blogs!). My actual, main blog is here.

As for the proper credits, profile picture is from the Bulbapedia wiki and I drew the banner myself!

Story, stakes, etc:

The storyline of this blog is going to take place across multiple regions, but it starts pretty slow. Right now Max is in Hoenn, and the story is going to be low-stakes and slice of life. As it progresses the stakes will slowly increase to a max of medium-high, but that’s pretty far down the line. I’ve based this off the type of stuff you’d see in the Pokémon anime.

max’s pokemon - max doesn’t have any partners as of writing this, but he will gain some as the story progresses.

max’s photography - basically anytime i make a drawing for the blog that’s supposed to be a photograph in-universe. eventually i’ll probably redraw the profile picture so its consistent! but i’m not good at drawing so these will be minimal for the time being

max’s universe - anything that contains information on the nature of this specific pokemon universe. the basic overview is “anime logic”. if you’ve seen the pokemon anime (especially xyz and sun and moon) then you’ve got a pretty good idea of what world max lives in. smaller details will be found in this tag as well!

important - exactly what it says on the tin. big events, interpersonal drama, character building, and changes in team will happen here.

casual posting - posts that are just there for “ambience” but don’t really contribute anything plot-wise.

ooc posts - posts made from my perspective instead of maxen’s.

asks - asks are open! ask him anything and he’ll respond pretty quickly because i don’t want to use the queue button. go my 15 posts in a row followed by radio silence for the next 24 hours

jazz/jasmine - max’s first best friend! much more comfortable in hoenn’s tropical climate. she’s good at baking and wants to be famous someday, but she’s not in any rush.

thalia - max’s other best friend and the only one with a pokemon (ralts). she’s slowly working on training it to be battle-ready, apparently having plans for the gym challenge. she wants her friends to come with her, though, when she does start her journey.

well long story short I ended up in hisiu somehow and before I returned back to this time and space I befriended them.

and their name is gratin because I thought it fit. They have other nicknames as well.

I read a lot when I was a kid. I was one of the quiet ones, IYKYK.

Nowadays? Not so much unfortunately. I’d sorta 1/4 of the way through this book on Kantonian folklore but I haven’t touched it in weeks.

I should probably go do that.
