And when I was hanged between earth and heaven they lifted up their heads to see me. And they were exalted, for their heads had never before been lifted.
Personal piece :) The compression may be hiding this, but written on the underside of the antelope's skin is "un jour je serai de retour près de toi" ('one day I will return to your side'), which is something I have been turning over in my brain a lot as of late.
Hope you're all taking care of yourselves!!

All eyes on Rafah. We cannot let this lose traction
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ve seen so many posts of people arguing or being upset over this celebrity or that musician being shitty and supporting a genocide, not to say these conversations of people being held responsible shouldn’t happen, (they should). But if you’re going to spend so much time obsessing over celebrities, the least you can do is spend 2 minutes watching a video of someone who is actually in Palestine.
ALL EYES ON RAFAH
[Video description: View from above of a grid of hundreds of tents laid out in the sand; a mosque and several other buildings are in the far distance. Sounds of hammering and children speaking can be heard. Bisan Owda steps in front of the camera and says:
"Hey, this is Bisan from Gaza, particularly from Rafah. It's the day one hundred thirty four of the continuing genocide against us. It's the year 2024 and this is happening in the middle of the world and cannot--and no one can just stop it. So, these people--I am now in Rafah--these people living in tents for five months, who lost everything, who were forced to displace their homes--their homes were bombed, so they lost everything.
Their shelters--I mean, the hospitals and the schools--were also bombed, so they lived in tents in the streets in the middle of nowhere. In the cold, and the ?, and starvation--pregnant [people], men, women, children, elderlies, people with disabilities--all of them here.
And the Israeli army is waving shamelessly and threatening them to invade Rafah. So when Rafah invasion happens, all these people"--she gestures below at the tents--"would not be able to find any place to go.
Keep an eye of Rafah. Keep an eye on Gaza. Ceasefire now. This is all what you want. I don't know why it's so hard, but this genocide happening against us is the most brutal thing and the most brutal massacres that happened--ya ani, for a long time! And it is well-documented, with the names, with the stories, with the time and the dates, everything is documented, everything is reaching you! And, nothing--and no one can stop it.
Like, just look at the people, all these people, each tent with about nine to ten people living in. All these stories, these displaced people, who lived five, or maybe six, months of their lives in tents. In the streets.
Keep an eye on Rafah. Keep an eye on Rafah. Keep an eye on Rafah. Keep an eye on Gaza. Keep an eye on every single person in Gaza." End VD]
