Cole shook his head immediately. “No, there’s definitely no need for that” He assured her. With all the evil in the world, people saw any sign of kindness as a reason to be cautious or to expect that the person would want something in return but Cole was simply generous by nature. He couldn’t imagine the kind of evil the girl had escaped from, and judging by the wounds on her legs, he assumed it was more than he could fathom. “My family usually drop by in the morning so I’d grab as much as I could if I were you” He smiled. It was routine for either his mother, sister or both to stop by before heading to work or school for breakfast so Cole always made sure that he made enough to go around. Thankfully, Ralph had other matters to attend to so he wouldn’t be stopping by—the last thing the Moria would need was his intimidating brother hanging around. The doorbell chimed throughout the apartment and Cole excused himself to answer the door. Gabriella, Cole’s youngest sibling, stepped into the home when Cole opened the door for her. “No sign of mother?” Cole inquired to which she shook her head. “Nope, she said something about wanting to go to the salon…I don’t know, wasn’t paying attention” Gabby shrugged. She sniffed the air and then smiled contentedly. “I obviously came just in time” She continued to wander further into the apartment, and Cole followed behind her in silence. He made it back to the dining area first where Moria was, the same smile resting on his features. “It’s just my little sister, she’ll be with us in a second” He informed her as he took his own plate and began serving himself. Gabriella soon joined them, not seeing Moria at first but halting her steps when she finally did. “Gabby, this is Moria. She’s a house guest…Moria, my little sister Gabby.” Cole introduced the two. Gabby stepped forward and held out her hand, a friendly smile on her face. “Nice to meet you Moria, my brother has never brought a lady home before” She smirked at Cole who simply frowned at her.
Moria fiddled with her hands in her lap for a moment as he spoke. She clears her throat as he spoke of this; his family coming over for breakfast. It made her nervous. What if they wanted her out immediately from his home? Oh God, she better eat what she could and leave quickly. She gazes at the plate in front of her, her right hand coming up to grasp her forks and she silently began to eat, taking hesitant bites. Soon those bites picked up and she began to stuff more food into her mouth. However she nearly jumped out of her seat when she suddenly heard the door bell ring. She froze, her eyes wide as she looks from him and the direction from which the noise came from - she watches him excuse himself and once he was out of sight, she sat her fork down, wiped her mouth, and placed both of her hands in her lap. Her right leg began to bounce up and down rapidly, she looked in various directions to see if there was a way she could hide or even more so exit, but did not find a single one. When he came back into the room, she looked up to meet his gaze, the nervousness and fear evident in her features, her green eyes pleading that he did not leave from her sight as her heart began to beat quickly within her chest. She watches as he begin to make a plate for whom she presume to be himself. Her hands stayed in her lap and her bottom lip trembled slightly and when she saw movement from her side view, she snapped her head in that general direction. Her eyes met with his sister and she flashed a very quick and hesitant smile. Allowing Cole to introduce them she quickly stood on to her feet once she saw Gabby step forward - she quickly fiddles with her sweater trying to cover her wrists before taking her hand to give a gentle shake and her own friendly smile, “N-nice to meet you too. I- we’re not l-like that,” She says politely with a faint blush. She moves to sit back down and placed both her hands in her lap, “ I sh-should go so you c-can spend time with your sister...” She speaks softly, her eyes on him. Did she want to go? Not at all, but she felt like she was intruding and did not like it. Family time is quality time.
