Just Whitley things that make me happy this ep:

- his genuine smiles

- how excited he was to help the girls, his sister, and mantle

- how proud he was that there was something only he could do

- that the ‘hacker man Whitley’ headcanons got some validation

- that he has not thought about Jacques for a second

- he still hasn’t shown a racist side to blake and continues to converse with her

- that he’s still a snarky sassy little brother who won’t pass up an opportunity to pick on his sister but now it comes with the undertone of love

- he helped carry penny when there were others there that could have done it

- he continued to show concern for penny

- he came up with the idea to save mantle unprompted like literally no o e was looking at him to solve the problem

- he happily let weiss, his only form of defence if something went wrong, go help her friends instead of stay and protect him

- he kept his calm when the hound was hunting him

- HE WENT BACK AND PRESSED THE BUTTON

- that not only did he have the rational mind to think through all of this, but then came up with the idea to push the knight and save the others when everyone else was freaked out over the hound reveal

- how happy he was when weiss told him she didn’t forget him 😭😭😭
