Top scene completed! The Maitland’s model house in the beginning of the movie. So for those of you who don’t know how these beanstalk paintings work. It originated very differently, when I wanted to paint the haunted mansion but in a way that took you through the ride. I went through several concepts and pulled out many a hair to find that balance of not too much but not too little and still look cool. This is the end result. Well my first Haunted Mansion painting was. Moving on....the top scene is usually always the beginning of any story, movie, ride, attraction, whatever. And it takes you through several scenes in chronological order of events to the end. So it’s almost like you’re on the ride or in the movie, you know what I’m talking about. So for instance, the first best scene in beetlejuice is the model of the Maitland House that Adam built with a big ol’ spider crawling in it. Hence this scene!! I LOVE that scene. So, I know I’m pushing all hard selfishly for you all to buy prints, but seriously, these prints are the absolute best quality prints I will ever be lucky enough to get. Also, I’m most likely only doing this first run of what you guys buy. You know you love this painting so far.....you know you want it. TOP HALF!! I think you guys love my beanstalk paintings the best. Of course you love the paintings that are the most difficult! I don’t mind. It gives me the freedom to put more “stuff” into a piece without it seeming so cluttered. But it’s seriously 6 paintings in one painting! This one is sooo much fun, and I actually get to take you on the journey with me for once making one of these. I spoke with the printer, it’s the same printer that does the Disney prints, so these will be AMAZING!!! I’m going to post scenes as I finish them to entice you gals and guys to buy these prints. They aren’t cheap to produce. This will be the first time I get this caliber of prints made on my own. Pre-Orders will go up this Friday, I’ll announce it then with the first completed scene! This. Is. HAPPENING!! I have some time to do a personal non-Disney non-Commission painting and It’s Showtime! This is the bottom half of the sketch. That’s right! It’s pretty cool seein your stuff up on the big screen like this at The Knotts Scary Farm media night. It was a sold out event, the theatre was packed. I loved going to knotts scary farm every year from high school years to probably just a few years ago. I want to show off a good friend today. @missmaelaroux completed this beautiful tattoo the other day. The Backside Of Water of course from the Jungle Cruise. I could be getting real nerdy here, but since she did put the water split in the waterfall that shows it’s from Disneyland (even though there are 3 splits I believe) where Walt Disney Worlds Jungle Cruise is one big wall of waterfall. I believe this tattoo was inspired by a concept Sketch done by Bruce Bushman, but the original artist is still up for debate. I’ve never been able to find out if it’s really his or not. ANYWAY!!
