Hi guys! I haven't been updating for a few reasons. For starters, it's been finals season, which is always hell. However, I've been doing some thinking and I have some good news and some bad news. the bad news is that the yue bay guardians is being cancelled. the good news is that im rebooting it to be better than ever before!!! i made alot of mistakes when first making this comic, but they're mistakes i'm glad i made, because i learned from them! however, they're such BIG mistakes that it would be more efficient for me to just start over than to try and write around it. also, my old art is shit and i'd be redrawing every page anyway. another reason i'm rebooting it is because i plan on monetizing the yue bay guardians! i can't exactly do that in a copyrighted universe, so i'm gonna make my own! plus, i think it'll be more engaging and appeal to a wider audience that way. i'm going to get a real website, move off tapas, and if all goes well, publish book one! i don't want to spoil too much, but the major story beats will be pretty similar to the old ones, at least for book one. in addition to changing the setting, i'm also going to be drawing in black and white in a more manga-esque style. i disliked how long it took me to make each page, and wanted the story to progress faster. in addition, i'm technically doing this for a class credit (i'm taking an independent project based course next year) so i'm working on a deadline. because of all this, i figured it would be better to make two high-quality black and white pages per week instead of trying to push out one page with full color and shading. plus, if i'm able to print (which i want to!) it'll be much cheaper to print in black and white than in color. finally, i'll be renaming the comic. i don't want to say as to what until i have a better pitch worked up, but once i do, i'll release it here. stay tuned for more information!
