Wrote, directed, starred, edited etc. I’m never making a feature film without a film crew again. This is my patreon/website started in late October. It is devoted to storytelling from several genres. A low-budget psychological thriller “Fe Sharpens Fe” will be released on January 3rd. I upload a chapter from my novel  titled “Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing” each week along with an accompanying audiobook, podcasts, article, and a metafictional plot within the site itself. It is a subscription-based service. I recently made a lot of my material on the patreon open to the public. But, as mentioned in the video, I probably need a thousand more patrons before I have the budget to pull off what I want. I set the tier prices. They range from 2-15 dollars a month. I said at the outset I would not change those prices and I have stuck by it. You can always contribute more, but you get all the site has to offer at 15. If I get generous patrons, the vast majority of the money will go toward realizing my vision to create more original material and all patrons will be exclusively rewarded Just started this and the overhead has been crazy. I’ve written 20 full-length scripts ranging from period pieces, hard sci-fi, romance, Westerns, contemporary drama, fantasy, children’s movies, and a few things that are featured in all of the scripts I’ve written: dry humor, dramatic irony, and ACTION! I will show patrons what their money is contributing to in the grand scheme of things.  I also give patrons in the top two tiers (10 and 15 dollars respectively) the opportunity to request a short story tailor-made to them with any specific details they might prefer and then I’ll build a framework around it and make an entertaining story. I’m a strong believer in that the creator should be the one to reap the benefits, so if something profitable comes out of your idea, you’ll get the majority of the profit (there are exceptions in certain cases, such as a 50/50 collaboration...although I wouldn’t do a 50/50 collaboration without going over contracts first). Test the limit of your imagination over at Monty Cristo Productions. Also on the lookout for animators, voice actors, and for that matter, actors in general. They will require a salary and such a project only works if many people join. I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep. 

 Also while I’m not trying to rag on my first film “Fe Sharpens Fe”, I did what I could with my budget, cast, and crew. My cast and crew was 1 (me playing a dual role). My budget was higher by a slim margin. Even if you join as a patron, but not enough people join to create huge blockbusters, Monty Cristo Productions will still have enough for higher quality films.
